I know that lots of us are thinking that the Republican’s just screwed themselves. I no longer think that’s true. The Palin candidacy is a huge distraction from the issues and it is precisely on the issues that the Democrats will win.
Sure its a gamble but did you really think they were going to beat us on the issues without some distraction to pull the analytical press off the case and put the hysterical, beat-it-to-death cable news on the case.
Now we have to turn it around and we will do that by not feeding the press’ voracious appetite for scandal but by hammering on the issues and hoping that the analytical press will come back out to play.
By the way call the Governor today and tell him to sign SB 840, the single payor healthcare bill thats been working its way through the legislature for the past three years. Let California lead the way so we have a solid place at the table in the national health care debate.
