Blognetnews.com (BNN) had some issues last week with their political blog rankings, but they have apparently ironed them out. The latest rankings have the Orange Juice! moving up to #3 in terms of political influence in California, from #5.
Both Red County/OC Blog and Total Buzz moved up this week. Orange Punch slipped from 1st place to fifth place.
The relatively new JohnSeilerBlogs.com moved up to #6. Seiler has been doing some terrific work of late!
Another OC-based blog, the Flash Report, fell from #6 to #8. Liberal OC also slipped from #3 to #9. Overall however, OC-based blogs continue to dominate this ranking system with 7 of the top 10 blogs based in Orange County.
We finally saw an L.A. blog move into the top 5 – LA Observed. Another LA Blog, Mayor Sam’s Sister City, stayed at #7. Obviously the Villaraigosa story is bringing a lot of new attention to the L.A. blogs.
Here is what BNN has to say about their ranking system, “BNN’s California Blogosphere Influence Rating combines a variety of data sets to determine which blogs are most powerfully influencing the direction of the California political blogosphere. The exact method BNN uses to calculate influence scores must remain proprietary in order to prevent attempts to game the system.”
In related news, I recently came across a new service called BlogInterviewer.com. Their editor recently interviewed me and you can read the results at this link.

Art,
You’re awesome. Keep up the good work.
Who cares? Does anyone believe Art’s rantings influence any one?
Glad to see one of Santa Ana’s residents getting recognition. Thank you Art for opening our eyes. We need more political activists list you!
