Not at all. The flu season has been slow to develop here this year. But the flu has been a bad one. Chris Kaman, the center for the Clippers, was out close to two weeks and he lost 13 pounds…
Art,
Please learn the PC term for “free” you should be saying “publicly financed” or “taxpayer financed” with your hard earned money, transferred to others who aren’t or can’t work so hard. While I fully understand what you intend, and yes, they are free to the recipient, someone pays for them. I think that’s you and me! And why are we paying for this and other social programs that are not the “peoples business”?
Carl,
I make an exception for infectious diseases like the flu. I don’t mind spending public money to stop the flu. This disease wreaks havoc on all of us, and it can kill the very old and the very young. The rest of us can lose up to two weeks of work. We really need to step up our efforts to stop this disease.
