I just received a website link via email that led me to an interesting new site that is dedicated to ripping the pro-union squish Jim Silva, who is running for the 67th Assembly District. It is a great recap of why this guy does not deserve your vote! Here is what their home page has to say:
Jim Silva is is a total sellout to special interests and is completely unfit for the Assembly! He has a long history of very questionable votes that have been bad for taxpayers, and the quality of life for his constituents. Silva claimes to be a “Republican”, yet wastes taxdollars and is too cozy with unions. He flips flops on issues such as Measure R, which would have hiked the local sales tax. He said he was “against” it, yet placed it on the ballot. Go figure! He will do whatever it takes to get elected and re-elected, such as take illegal campaign contributions, for example.
Some other offenses committed by Silva include his abuse of eminent domain as Mayor of Huntington Beach to his reign of terror as a Supervisor by voting for budget busting pension spikes , wasting 55 million dollars on a wrong way airport layout for El Toro (while dismissing safer and more efficient layouts). He even got so desperate for support, that he voted for a Project Labor Agreement that exclusively awarded county contracts to labor unions. So much for being a “true conservative”!
In addition, Silva also endorsed Measure E which would have Balkanized Huntington Beach into separate voting districts and ultimately diluted the voting power of local residents. (It lost by a 2-1 margin!) The latest straw is his support for that abomination known as a Poseidon desalination plant which will NOT supply one drop water for Huntington Beach, yet will discharge billions of tons of brine into the ocean. Tampa Bay Taxpayers are already on the hook for a failed Poseidon plant in their city. As one can see, Silva could care less about the environment or taxpaying citizens.
We strongly urge voting for either one of his opponents, Cypress Councilman Mike McGill or Businesswoman and (wife of State Senator Elect Tom Harman), Dianne Harman. We find both to be quite knowledgeable about local issues, and very accessible. Some of us here support McGill and some support Harman. But either way, one thing we all have in common is we are most adamantly opposed to Jim Silva continuing his political career.

Right, these folks have NOTHING to do with the McGill and Harmon campaigns. Who are these people? Why have they waited until less then two weeks before the election to surface?
If it was a legit goup they would identify who is behind it.

Its got to be frustrating for McGill supporters to be coming in third. Beaten not only by a squishy conservative but a liberal Republican as well.

Why would a website “affiliated” with McGill even mention that Harman is an option? Did you bother to think about that?

I and some other Huntington Beach residents had this thing planned to torpedo Silva loooooong before Mike McGill or Dianne Harman ever declared their candidacy! That is a fact Jack!
Remember, friends come and go, but enemies accumulate. Silva has made many over the years and now they are coming back to haunt him!
