This is awesome! President Barack Obama has won the Nobel Peace Prize. This is sure to drive the nutters crazy!
Rush Limbaugh might have a stroke. Which would be bad news for the St. Louis Rams. Who else would be nutters enough to buy into the NFL’s worst football team?
Does Obama deserve this award? Why not? I wish he would pull out of Iraq and Afghanistan, but at least he is trying to build relationships, as opposed to Bush, who was just a jerky cowboy…
I think this award says far more about Bush and how alienating he was than it says about Obama, this is like a hug from the rest of the world for coming to our senses. As to Rush, isn’t a heart attack overdue for that big fat blowhard, what a destructive, negative and poor excuse for a human being he is, good riddance.
By the by, the DNC put out a kickin’ response to the Republicans hysteria.
This isn’t about Obama, who has accomplished nothing. It’s a shot at the Bush regime, neo-conservative war hawking, and Yankee unilateralism. The Rush Limburg types will actually love it because it confirms all their beliefs about anti-American, effete Euro-pussies and their degenerate society.
“As to Rush, isn’t a heart attack overdue for that big fat blowhard…”
Overdue…way way wayyyyy overdue.
Translation from the Prize committee: Congratulations on NOT being Bush. Here’s your award!
Definitely a political statement. A bit awkward for Obama, but as always, he handles the situation brilliantly.
Did Rush get the Rams, already? The only way he can break into football is by owning a team. His last “career” move into football as an announcer, lasted what…..? Like 10 minutes before he started spouting racist, obnoxious commentary that burned that bridge about a decade ago? Jerk.
i agree what a joke its like hollywood ..nobama is there for 8 months and he wins this haaa rush will wont havve a heart attack HE WILL HAVE A FIELD DAY now . so angry anoster check your rate before you have one
I do not wish a heart attack on Rush or anybody.
While I do agree that Rush is an idoit.
Interesting that the republicans are using something that everyone should be celebrating to try to make political points.
It was a surprise that he got it but I think he should keep it because his election was possibly an historic turning point in our relations with the rest of the world.
Well, Rush seems to find fault in most people, but that of course keeps him on the air waves. We never really talk about his own afflictions though do we?
I woke up this morning and found an email in my gmail that said Obama had won the NPP. First I was shocked, and then my mind switched into gear and the first thought that entered my mind was “HA, I wonder what idiocy Rush is spouting about this?!”. Looked it up on Google and I was not let down by the least.
If Rush were to have a heart attack or stroke and die, I don’t think I would care in the least, actually I think we might all be better off. I think that Billy Mays death had more of an impact on sensible Americans then Rush’s would.
Anyway, I would like to say congratulations to the President, winning the award shows how much the global community hated the hell out of Bush and how much Obama has already done in the interest of peace.
I would also like to say shame on you to the repubs. Why are they throwing hate at America, their own country for?! They should be happy, what with the anti-America sentiments floating about the world. It’s an honor to be awarded anything by the global community.
Then again Republicans think that the USA should be regarded as a God by the world no matter what, which is plain idiocy.
We have to via for our world status just like any other country.
If anything this shows everyone exactly what the far right wings are, hate machines wired for nothing else but throwing propaganda, smears, and mockery of the meaning of the word American.
it would seem that Obama winning the Nobel Peace prize represents a vote of confidence from Europe…
I can’t even watch the 700 club without hearing about Obama. So much negative, never, and I mean NEVER anything positive. At least Rush shows his true colors, even if he doesn’t state it directly. I mean come one, listen to him, Glen beck, and Hannity, you would think that Obama was the only thing happening. Hannity, is a angry man who still can’t believe Obama won because of the majority white vote’s. Beck, believe’s Obama is somehow this grand consperator one moment who master minds an earthquake somewhere off the coast of China, and in the same breath calls not only Obama an idiot, but us, the people who voted for him one to, for trying to come up with a healthcare plan. None of the big three can give an answer on what to do.Can they? Why wont Rush attack the insurance companies the same way he attacks Obama.
Ooooh. Sorry. The best to Obama.
Bush!!!! Rush!!!!! Names are very close. Do you suppose with the names being so close there is the same mentality, and I’m not talking about positive. Hannity can also be grouped with the above. His ranting and raving are a sure sign of an idiot. Whoops that puts him in with the beforementioned folks. It was bush who put AMERICA in the mess it is in. And why don”t the republicans give up their attempt to bad mouth Pres. Obama. At least he cares.
H. Love.
what an appropriate name. You simply love to bash Bush don’t you.
If I am not mistaken president Bush [43] was a pilot in the Texas Air National Guard but he was not one of the pilots that flew a highjacked commercial airline plane into the Twin Towers or the Pentagon.
From your diatribe that terrorist act was caused by him?
Dear Mr. Gilbert; I don’t see where in my so called diatribe, where there was any mention that the 9-11 incident was caused by Pres. Bush. I never cared for Pres. Bush from the day he was elected. I was upset the way he left the country after he lost the election. I guess both sides were at fault, But this Obama bashing by his party(Republicans) is getting tiresome. Give Obama a chance. Explain to me where you got the idea about the 9-11 incident. I was comparing Bush and Rush L. Thank you
H. Love. My reply was based on your comment where you stated: “It was bush who put AMERICA in the mess it is in. ” As you were vague in providing any details of the “mess” let me take the lead.
Let’s not go back to sale of homes to people who couldn’t afford to pay the mortgage that predated Bush 43 but were given loans as they were “entitled” to that right of property ownership which became the great foreclosure nightmare in America.
My reply was based on the impact of one group of terrorists on this country that continues to this day. Prior to 9-11 we didn’t have a Dept of Homeland Security and all the associated costs of adding that new bureaucracy. If president Clinotn had given the CIA a green light to take out Osama in 2000 or before we might have cut off the head of this snake. This discussion has very deep roots going all the way back to terrorists attacks on two US Embassies in Africa and troops stationed in Khobar Towers in Saudi Arabia that also predated his terms in office. President Clinton failed to get those responsible leaving us with the appearance of being weak as it relates to protecting Americans in foreign lands.
To date I have not written anything about President Obama’s campaign promise to “bring the troops home” which he is now discovering is difficult to achieve. He is finding out that campaigning and governing are totally different. I shall wait to see how long those who anticipated that campaign promise to be fullfilled allow him slack that you choose not to give President Bush. When he took office we had troops in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Will he support the request for more troops be sent to Afghanistan and if so, how will you react to that decision?
Larry,
Cut the crap! You want to blame Clinton for 9-11 but give a pass to Bush for 9-11 (he just HAAAAD to go on a month long vacation, even though all the signals were FLASHING RED), two DISASTROUS wars and an economic meltdown (how do explain the commercial real estate mess, were the poor bankers forced to make loans to rich, savvy investors too?), and let me REMIND you that AMERICANS DID give Bush a pass on 9-11, instead of BLAMING him for it (which he and his team deserved ) the Democrats rallied behind him ( admittedly, a big mistake).
And what were Bush’s campaign promises? Compassionate Conservatism and bipartisanship, what a big fat stinking joke! Here’s the biggest whopper of them all, from the 2000 campaign;
” When America uses force in the world, the cause must be just, the goal must be clear, and victory must be overwhelming.” HA HA HA HA HA HA……..what a laugh riot that Georgie was.
On the other hand, here’s a quote from Obama’s Aug. 28, 2008 Democratic nomination acceptance speech;
“I will end the war in Iraq responsibly, and finish the fight against al Qaeda and the Taliban in Afghanistan.”
Of course, we ALL KNOW that as Commander-in-Chief the POTUS MUST make decisions based on current conditions, and who knows what kind of PHONY briefings were provided to candidate Obama from that LYIN’, CHEATIN’, SCUMBAG that was our FORMER President.
Obama inherited a big steaming pile of sh*t, Republicans SHOULD be grateful to ANYONE for trying to clean it up, instead you’re all running around bitching like he dropped a vase of roses. There is only one word to describe you and other Republican apologists; DISHONEST. Well, actually there are a LOT more, but I’ll leave those to your imagination.
Anonster. We were starting to get worried about you? I almost had Art send someone to your house to make sure you were OK.
Yup. W was responsibile for 9-11.
Anonster. Have we approved the use of marijuana in your city? Your plants are blocking your vision.
And Obama got bad G-2 in his briefings? Were you there?
Got to leave for a luncheon meeting. To be continued.
This is why I love America, we can all voice our opinion w/o fear of retribution(sorry for the spelling) Lets give Obama the benefit of the doubt and see what happens. It has been interesting. Thank you and I wouldn’t wise a stroke on anyone, not even Rush L.
The Heart Attack happen today and I pray that Rush Limbaugh is okay so he can continue destroying the Republican party.
