I just received the note below, from Anaheim City Councilman Harry Sidhu, regarding a job fair coming up tomorrow in Anaheim:
Through the combined efforts of major workforce agencies and business organizations in Anaheim and Orange County, we are pleased to announce the Anaheim/OC Job Fair & Expo to be held on Wednesday, June 3 at The Shops at Anaheim GardenWalk located at 321 W. Katella Avenue, Anaheim. We are pleased to report that to date, we have more than 101 employers with more than 2,000 jobs (both salaried and hourly) identified. It is our hope that this event will meet the current demand of multiple industries and facilitate direct employment for the thousands of job-seekers we expect to host on this day.
The Job Fair will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be a private kick-off reception from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. where we will recognize the employer representatives and the sponsors and partners who have made this event possible. These groups include the Orange County Business Council, the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce, Anaheim Jobs.com, Anaheim Public Utilities, The Shops at Anaheim GardenWalk, the County of Orange , Orange County Register, Employment Development Department, FREEMAN, Disneyland Resort, Michael Brandman and Associates, Clean City, Inc., SA Recycling, Brookfield Homes, the Orange County Workforce Investment Board, and the Santa Ana Workforce Investment Board.
We hope to see you there.
“Employers participating in Wednesday’s job fair include: Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Eli Homes, the California Highway Patrol and YMCA, among many others. For a complete list and to pre-register for the fair, visit www.anaheim.net,” according to the O.C. Register.
