Daren Nigsarian appointed to chair La Habra’s Planning Commission

I just received word that Daren Nigsarian, who ran last year for the La Habra City Council, has been appointed to Chair that city’s Planning Commission. Here is the message he relayed to his supporters today:

Just a note to friends, supporters and those interested in a minor transition for La Habra’s commissions. Last night, I was pleased to receive the unanimous appointment from my fellow commissioners as chairman of our planning commission for ’09-’10. Commissioner Janis Robinson was likewise appointed as vice-chairman. We are all appreciative for outgoing Chairman Juan Guerrero’s leadership this past year, and the commission looks forward to meeting development and planning challenges for La Habra in the future.

Nigsarian has been a Deputy Sheriff in Los Angeles County for 24 years, and is a Democrat.  I am certain he will do a fine job as Chair of the La Habra Planning Commission.
