This year the Orange Juice Blog is thankful for The Lincoln Project, that well-funded group of increasingly-rare Good Republicans who helped the rest of the nation get rid of Trump. And we’re also thankful for all the things they list off in this wonderful video –
- Frontline Workers
- Scientists
- Essential Workers
- Teachers
- People Who Wear Masks
- People Staying Home For the Holidays
- Parents
- Patriots (they show Colonel Vindman)
- Grassroots Activists (they show Black Lives Matter)
- Poll Workers
- Voters.
How about YOU? What’s on YOUR mind? And keep it clean, please…
*These are OUR people…….real Republicans not Republicants!
And then there’s this hour-long fear feast, posted just before the election.
Just came across this spot on homeless doings in our neighbor county to the west – FWIW.
Another entry in the book of “Why we (CA) Can’t Have Nice Things”
Another YT vid to alert that cruise lines are scrapping ships with decades of life remaining since Covid has vaporized traffic
Wonder if anyone has compared the supposed $ 300K-400K recent cost per unit of Homeless remedy construction in LA, to the cruise ship scrap value divided by the number of their rooms ? Of course not.-
Gave up after a half hour of search, but the only scrap price I found was for the 650 passenger (2 per room ?) MS Astor sold at auction for $1.7 M YES I KNOW there are other expenses but they also have other infrastructure on board, require NO Real Estate, and some lines attempting resumed OPERATION in other countries have evidently found acceptable disinfection methods. So FWIW
It’s an interesting thought. I wouldn’t object to making this option available to people, but as it eliminates any ability to work in person (and, for that matter, to panhandle peacefully), it effectively becomes a prison, so I don’t think that people can just be consigned to it.
If it’s like a cruise line, with free food and entertainment and wireless, I might go for it for a while — after covid, of course.
For most of the last year, the Lincoln Project has just been a scam — veteran GOP consultants raising $78 million for the anti-Trump cause while sending nearly all the cash to firms run by its board members. But it finished on an even dirtier note: It encouraged its followers to harass anyone working for a law firm involved in President Trump’s post-election litigation.
Where’d you get that info? OANN? It doesn’t match anything I’ve heard, and if there was encouragement to harass law firm workers I didn’t get the memo.
