Stuck in the Middle with you!

The big talk is that the Republican Party has moved to Center-Left….from the Bay Buchanan concept of Center-Right.

We should all listen to this song and try to discover our own points of view when it comes to determining the fate and fortune of a Republican Party that reminds us of  a combination of: “Twisted Sister”, “Queen” and “Alice Cooper!” 

Sarah Palin is not our leader and never could be, neither is anyone who voted for John McCain for whatever reason.  Our pick Rudy Guiliani…..is not the voice of the Republican Party any more than Mitt Romney could ever be.  The totally boring and inane Mike Huckabee is almost as bad as so-called Independent Pat Buchanan!  Bob Barr reeks of duplicity and social travesty!  Ron Paul has been marginalized back into the 18th century. 

How about members of Congress or the Senate?  Nope.  Not one rings our bell as the anointed advocate for the Republican Party.  What about Newt Gingrich?  Hardly!!!!!  He sold out to the Clinton’s so long ago….he has forgotten that he did.  What about Joe Scarborough?  Rick Santorum?  How about Mary Bono?  How about some new faces?

It is pretty bleak right here in the middle of the Republican Party.  What will happen in 2010?  Will Arnold run for Senate against Chuck Devore in the Republican Primary….to run against Boxer…who may step down?  Will Tom McClintock beat Charlie Brown and go to Congress?  Will all the members of the Republican Party in Congress bail out in 2010?  Is it all that hopeless?  Will Tom Selleck step up to challenge a middle of the road John Garamendi?  Can another Republican celebrity pull our cherries out of the fire?  How about Dennis Miller?  Or will Rosie O’Donnell or Whoopie challenge him?

Maybe so, because no one rings our Reagan Republican bell!  No one is out there making Reagan-like moves……shaking our tree!  In the meantime, Fox News is now on its last legs!  We can’t even turn it on that channel anymore.  Hannity & Coombs make us sick.  Bill O’Reilly needs to go into retirement.  Even Greta Van Susteren has seen far, far, far better days.  All that said, even Geraldo is playing it cool along with Colonel Oliver North.  They may be moving to greener pastures soon. 

Rush Limbaugh has finally concluded that he may have been “a little over the top” in his election coverage.  Even Rush has not been waving the Sarah Palin T-Shirt and commemorative photo album!  News Max is doing its best to keep up the brave front…..but they too find that their mouth wash is not making it.  Conservative, Black Talk Show host Larry Elder – seems to be the only reasonable voice in a sea of disarray.

It is about time that those of us….who believe in the 2nd Amendment, the 1st Amendment, the 4th and 5th Amendments and believe that the days of  Greed and Violence need to be over……will now start looking for another intelligent, caring and dedicated American to carry the Republican banner.

In the meantime, we are just “Stuck in the Middle – with you!”
