It really felt like that after the win was declared. I’m ashamed to admit I got caught up in the election – again. When will I learn?
What I hope we don’t do is immediately put this guy under a microscope, or start criticizing every move he makes. Nobody can afford for this presidency to be ineffective. The stakes are too high.
Did you see Obama’s face in his acceptance speech?. He really looked worry and kind the expression of “what I do next”!. That make feel scary that factually is NOT READY!. His promeses and expentancy are to high and now he knows that he has to honor them!. I believe he won’t be able to do it . I’m waiting to see if he put our troops out of irak in 18 months as he promessed.

Your sadly low expectations will likely render you pleasantly surprised by our new president. Please keep in mind that it’s only been 3 days since he was elected. Most people give a president 100 days after inauguration to start with the sky-is-falling rhetoric.
Perhaps the California Obama supporters can focus on why those who voted for Obama failed to vote No on 8.
Today’s news reports African Americans voted overwhelming to ban same sex marriage. Hmm… how long did it take President-elect Obama to take a stand on Prop 8?

Yep, I was surprised by President-Elect Obama’s press conference. He came off as a serious man with the weight of the world on his shoulders, and it is, only to slip into the doggie dialogue about the family getting a mutt like him. Leapin’ Lizards, did the American people just elect a mutt for President? He then capped off his first press conference by ridiculing former First Lady Nancy Regan, which prompted him to call Mrs. Regan and apologize. And this is a Harvard educated man.
Great fodder for the writers at SNL.
