Where will we be seeing you this Saturday, on our second No Kings Day? Let’s make it TWICE AS BIG as the one on June 14, where we had 13,000 protesters at La Palma Park. Here’s what’s going on THIS Saturday:
Santa Ana, 2-5 pm!
This is the big one in OC, at Santa Ana’s Centennial Park, 3000 W. Edinger at Fairview, click here to RSVP.
Hell, I’ll copy over all their verbiage:
LET’S MAKE IT EVEN BIGGER THIS TIME!
Join us as we say YES to a democracy of, by, and for the PEOPLE – and NO to wanna-be kings!
The OC Indivisible Coalition, 50501 Orange County, and WAVE are sponsoring this day of joyful resistance and community empowerment. We’ll have music from local DJs & musicians, speeches from grassroots organizers, free sign-making & peaceful protest along the sidewalk, and community organizations for you to connect with to take action and transform Orange County into the place we know it can be – where each person is valued and has all they need to live an abundant, free life.
SUPPORT MUTUAL AID
We’re pairing outrage about the authoritarian takeover of our government with a call to action to support our local communities. We’ll be collecting food & essential items for mutual aid throughout Orange County. Requested items include:
- cereal, pasta, rice, beans
- sugar, salt, oil, flour, coffee
- canned food, bottled water
- soap, body wash, shampoo
- toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant
- toilet paper & paper towels
- dish & laundry detergent
- menstrual care products
- baby diapers and wipes
WHAT TO BRING
- your family, friends, and neighbors
- your best signs (optional; free sign-making is available)
- water for you and/or bottled water to donate
- snacks for you and/or packaged snacks to donate
- a blanket and/or chair if you’d like to sit
- sunscreen (there is plenty of shade in the park)
- leashed pets
In America, we don’t put up with would-be kings.
Our peaceful movement is only getting bigger and stronger. “NO KINGS” is more than just a slogan—it’s the foundation our nation was built upon. Born in the streets, carried by millions in chants and on posters, it echoes from city blocks to rural town squares, uniting people across this country to fight dictatorship together.
The president thinks his rule is absolute. But in America, we don’t have kings, and we won’t back down against chaos, corruption, and cruelty. Grow our movement and join us.
A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.Read less

But you say (I can hear you!) “I can’t wait till the afternoon, I want a morning protest, a warmup protest to get me and my crowd going full bore!” So, we’ve got you, we’ve got you, settle down! 10 am, bright and “early,” be at Orange’s Yorba Park, at Chapman and the 55. (NOT the BIG Yorba Park in Anaheim Hills. And not THAT Chapman either!) RSVP here, and Congressman Lou says he’ll be there for what that’s worth.
Other OC rallies – EIGHT OF ‘EM!

And a rogue march in Anaheim!
from our anti-ICE warrior friends
March from the Library to Disneyland! That’s where I’d be if I weren’t doing the music in Santa Ana – in fact I’ll probably show up for the end. A March from the Library to Disneyland is the way Donna forced Disney to stop their fireworks one night, in a moment of silence for her son Joey (killed by Anaheim cops in 2012.) Because the Anaheim “ghetto-bird” aka Angel was following us the whole way, blaring indecipherable orders and threats at us, and then they were in Disney’s airspace and the Mouse COULDN’T DO FIREWORKS! Ha! Good times, or what passes for them.
That reminds me, if you’re gonna be at Centennial at 2, we’ll be doing a few songs that you could join in on – Bob Marley’s Get Up Stand Up, Rage Against the Machine’s Killing in the Name of, a NEW “Chinga La Migra” version of Cri Cri’s Raton Vaquero, This Land is Your Land, El Pendon Estrellado (Spanish-language Star-Spangled Banner), AND my new “No More Kings” song, which you should learn so you can sing along. And here we go:
We’re teachers, cooks and janitors and we want our country back.
We’re clerks and cops and counselors and we want our country back.
IF YOU’RE LOOKING FOR AMERICA, AMERICA’S RIGHT HERE:
NO MORE KINGS, NO MORE HATE, NO MORE FEAR!
We’re poor and rich and in between and we want our country back.
We’re brown, black, white and everything and we want our country back.
IF YOU’RE LOOKING FOR AMERICA, AMERICA’S RIGHT HERE:
NO MORE KINGS, NO MORE HATE, NO MORE FEAR!
NO MORE KINGS – the balance of power is in the Constitution.
NO MORE HATE – who’d-a thought that love is the solution?
NO MORE FEAR, NO MORE FEAR, HAVE NO FEAR!
From Portland to Chicago, we demand our country back!
Anaheim to Puerto Rico, we demand our country back!
IF YOU’RE LOOKING FOR AMERICA, AMERICA’S RIGHT HERE:
NO MORE KINGS, NO MORE HATE, NO MORE FEAR!
You and I might not see eye to eye but we want our country back.
And we’ll fight together side by side till we win our country back.
WE’RE LOOKING FOR AMERICA, BUT AMERICA’S RIGHT HERE:
NO MORE KINGS, NO MORE HATE, NO MORE FEAR!
NO MORE KINGS, NO MORE HATE, NO MORE FEAR!

I read about one in La Habra, Beach and Imperial, 10am-12n.
I’m tentatively penciling in La Habra from 10-12; Seal Beach 12-2; Santa Ana from 2-5 (only because of Vern); and I’ll leave early by 3:30) and Whitter from 4-5:30. (Overachievers can also go to the Obregon bypass in Whittier from 8-9. I’m not that overachieving.)
I have some tips to pass on, but I’ll create a new post for those and any that others want to present.
Not going in frogwear or other costume, alas.
I hope nobody looks at the Liberal OC for any guide to tomorrow’s events. Dan just now got something up with the ironic title “Plan Ahead for No Kings,” but worst, the only location he gives is La Palma Park, and there will be nothing there. He actually writes “these signs are from the last rally but useful for locations.”
Is he trying to screw this up? And is there a limit to his laziness?
Could you ever rely on the pink toad to tell the truth?
I’ll say this: Chumley has a story up now entitled “If Katie Porter Was a Man.”
My take is: If Katie Porter was a man, she’d now be a trans woman.
But if Katie Porter were a man, her nastiness to others would be more socially acceptable.
I think it’s reasonable for her to be pissed about the double standard.
Al Franken would be to differ. Dems have cancelled one another for less than Porker’s shenanigans. If you’re popular, you can do more than most.
You know who is pissed off about a double standard?
Roseanne Barr.
https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/tv/story/2025-09-24/roseanne-barr-jimmy-kimmel-double-standard-abc
If Katie were better looking, her conduct would be more socially acceptable and if she were a man she would be slightly better looking than she is as a woman. Her “nastiness” was already well known in some circles in the local family law bar well before her poor handling of the recent interview. The problem is not double standards, it’s that she is spoiled and thinks there are two sets of rules, those that apply to her and those that apply to the rest of us. And when the gossip rags get wind of you for the wrong reasons as a politician, it’s no bueno. She is a mean bitch.

You guys are stepping on my next story, “Can Katie Porter Stop Being a Dick?”
You all sound like Donald Trump. Give me a difference between Katie Porters action than the 3 time divorced 2 times bankrupt and twice impeached scumbag (which is an insult to scumbags) I will take katie
Why must everything be a comparison. She is an attorney also. Sheesh. Trump is mean and so is she.
A motley crew of protesters were observed at pch and MacArthur in corona Del Mar around 1:00 pm.
*Sigh*
1. We were totally unaware that the race for California governor – the primary in fact! – was a choice between Katie Porter and Donald Trump. Well for sure, we’ll go with Katie over the whatever names you wanna call him.
2. I’m not even sure whether I’ll support Katie or not, you can’t tell from my title, but she sure does behave like a dick, over and over in the 5-6 years we’ve all known her. I’m questioning whether she has any self-control over that, and if it’ll be a liability, in November’s election, and in doing a good job as Governor. But I’ll elaborate further when I get a chance to breathe.
3. All this comparing her (or anyone) to Trump reminds me of how Bush and Cheney would always say, to excuse all their crimes, “At least we’re better than Saddam Hussein!” It’s a bar much lower than sea level.
More on the local family bar and local elected officials.
The spouse of DUI Dave the yellowbellied douchebag will be speaking to the family law section of the Orange County Bar Association in person no less next month on November 5, 2025. How cute.

Big turn out in Orange this morning on Chapman. Had trouble getting to Mattern..
Trump and his minions’ reaction to SEVEN MILLION No Kings protesters reminds me of Beavis and Butthead at Old Faithful, when the park guide tells them how the geyser shoots out over 12,000 gallons of water with each eruption, and B&B respond “That’s not really all that much.”
South Park is gonna have a field day with this. But yeah beavis and butthead sums up maga pretty well.

Federal judge gives Ament the Heismann. There is your answer Vern. Ament has to pay the piper literally and figuratively now.

Thanks. Hearing Nov. 14. This whole comparison of the three 2022 federal Cabal cases really bears out Greg’s observation that LA takes political corruption seriously while OC does not. And now the DOJ (under Pam Bondi) also does not.
1. In all 3 cases – Sidhu, Melahat, Ament – the DOJ backed WAY OFF their original charges and sentence requests, and practically invited the judges to throw the cases out.
2. Sidhu was lucky, getting an OC, Trump-appointed judge, who didn’t go as far on clemency as the Bondi DOJ wanted, but really reduced things down to where Harry only did 22 days in jail (and put out a silly A.I. blog that whole time thinking nobody would suspect he was incarcerated.)
3. But Melahat, unluckily for her, got LA judge Aenlle-Rocha who was all to the prosecutor what are you crazy? This is serious shit! And gave Melahat six months.
4. Looks so far like Ament’s luck will be like Melahat’s, the Bondi DOJ wanting to throw out some confessed/proven charges and the judge, same judge as Melahat’s, all HELL no.
(So much for Dan blaming Melahat’s harsh sentence on sexism.)
WHISTLEBLOWER FIRED BY Anaheim’s Finance Director DEBBIE MORENO. A whistleblower named Kari Bouffard. Three quick thoughts:
1. We remember (if nobody else does) how in 2014, on the same ballot where Anaheim approved district elections, the kleptocrats who ran the council at the time snuck in a “Measure C” which was described as boring “administrative cleanup” and included a hidden clause allowing council to get rid of the Treasurer (a guy who was too honest and asked too many questions) and just retain the Finance Director, Debbie Moreno, a no-questions-asked person, to run the finance department on her own. We warned against Measure C on the OJ Blog, and so did Mayor Tait. https://www.orangejuiceblog.com/2014/05/anaheim-no-on-measure-c-for-corruption-cronyism-the-chamber-and-chucky/
2. Remember the “Fall of Reform,” 2023, the year after the Ashleigh majority was elected? One of the reforms (suggested by the JL Report) was a HOTLINE for WHISTLEBLOWERS, going right to (this may have been the wrong choice) City Manager James Vanderpool. Is that still, or was it ever, a “THING?”
3. Also is this a thing: Our handsomely paid Ethics Officer, Artin Berjikly, whom we never hear from except maybe once a year when he tells us how we have the best most honest transparentest Council in the world? If there is substance to Bouffard’s allegations, our handsomely paid Ethics Officer AND City Manager should have been involved and should be now. Let’s have a full response from the city please.

The Whistleblower will be speaking at our next Anaheim Democrats (unchartered) Club meeting, Nov. 13!
(She also thanked this blog for all the good work we have done on corruption over the years – she’d only been with Anaheim a short time but had been with the County for years.)
I heard Moreno speak at a council meeting about twelve years ago. She was stupendously underwhelming – a perfect tool for the Anaheim Kleptocracy to manipulate.
And if reform really has occurred, how in the world can Vanderpool still be there?
‘Member how Sidhu and Brandman brusquely removed Zapata for his light disagreements, and plucked Vanderpool from Buena Park, forthwith, no questions asked!

If you think Dems aren’t prejudiced and aren’t their own worst enemy, then I direct you to Mamdani’s experience as a Democrat candidate in the New York mayoral race. Dems teaming up on each other and refusing to endorse the leading candidate. So pathetically sad.

“Becker apologized for the misstep, saying he was “fairly ashamed by it” and blaming the error on a lack of resources for his nonprofit Freedom X Law.
“I failed my client,” he said. “I stand before you filled with humility.””
That’s what Chris gets, hiring someone called “Freedom X Law.”
