Where will we be seeing you this Saturday, on our second No Kings Day? Let’s make it TWICE AS BIG as the one on June 14, where we had 13,000 protesters at La Palma Park. Here’s what’s going on THIS Saturday:
Santa Ana, 2-5 pm!
This is the big one in OC, at Santa Ana’s Centennial Park, 3000 W. Edinger at Fairview, click here to RSVP.
Hell, I’ll copy over all their verbiage:
LET’S MAKE IT EVEN BIGGER THIS TIME!
Join us as we say YES to a democracy of, by, and for the PEOPLE – and NO to wanna-be kings!
The OC Indivisible Coalition, 50501 Orange County, and WAVE are sponsoring this day of joyful resistance and community empowerment. We’ll have music from local DJs & musicians, speeches from grassroots organizers, free sign-making & peaceful protest along the sidewalk, and community organizations for you to connect with to take action and transform Orange County into the place we know it can be – where each person is valued and has all they need to live an abundant, free life.

In America, we don’t put up with would-be kings.
Our peaceful movement is only getting bigger and stronger. “NO KINGS” is more than just a slogan—it’s the foundation our nation was built upon. Born in the streets, carried by millions in chants and on posters, it echoes from city blocks to rural town squares, uniting people across this country to fight dictatorship together.
The president thinks his rule is absolute. But in America, we don’t have kings, and we won’t back down against chaos, corruption, and cruelty. Grow our movement and join us.
A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.Read less

And a rogue march in Anaheim!
from our anti-ICE warrior friends
March from the Library to Disneyland! That’s where I’d be if I weren’t doing the music in Santa Ana – in fact I’ll probably show up for the end. A March from the Library to Disneyland is the way Donna forced Disney to stop their fireworks one night, in a moment of silence for her son Joey (killed by Anaheim cops in 2012.) Because the Anaheim “ghetto-bird” aka Angel was following us the whole way, blaring indecipherable orders and threats at us, and then they were in Disney’s airspace and the Mouse COULDN’T DO FIREWORKS! Ha! Good times, or what passes for them.
That reminds me, if you’re gonna be at Centennial at 2, we’ll be doing a few songs that you could join in on – Bob Marley’s Get Up Stand Up, Rage Against the Machine’s Killing in the Name of, a NEW “Chinga La Migra” version of Cri Cri’s Raton Vaquero, This Land is Your Land, El Pendon Estrellado (Spanish-language Star-Spangled Banner), AND my new “No More Kings” song, which you should learn so you can sing along. And here we go:
We’re teachers, cooks and janitors and we want our country back.
We’re clerks and cops and counselors and we want our country back.
IF YOU’RE LOOKING FOR AMERICA, AMERICA’S RIGHT HERE:
NO MORE KINGS, NO MORE HATE, NO MORE FEAR!
We’re poor and rich and in between and we want our country back.
We’re brown, black, white and everything and we want our country back.
IF YOU’RE LOOKING FOR AMERICA, AMERICA’S RIGHT HERE:
NO MORE KINGS, NO MORE HATE, NO MORE FEAR!
NO MORE KINGS – the balance of power is in the Constitution.
NO MORE HATE – who’d-a thought that love is the solution?
NO MORE FEAR, NO MORE FEAR, HAVE NO FEAR!
From Portland to Chicago, we demand our country back!
Anaheim to Puerto Rico, we demand our country back!
IF YOU’RE LOOKING FOR AMERICA, AMERICA’S RIGHT HERE:
NO MORE KINGS, NO MORE HATE, NO MORE FEAR!
You and I might not see eye to eye but we want our country back.
And we’ll fight together side by side till we win our country back.
WE’RE LOOKING FOR AMERICA, BUT AMERICA’S RIGHT HERE:
NO MORE KINGS, NO MORE HATE, NO MORE FEAR!
NO MORE KINGS, NO MORE HATE, NO MORE FEAR!
I read about one in La Habra, Beach and Imperial, 10am-12n.
