Christina Gagnier has devoted her life to public service and she is ready to represent CA 40 in the 2026 race for the United States House of Representatives. From education to health care, privacy to consumer protection, defending the constitution to ensuring the rights of the LGBTQ+ community, Christina has not only been an advocate, she has been effectively engaged in promoting justice through her work as an attorney, a school board member, an activist, and a respected leader.
Her principal contributions have been in the vital field of education. For many years, Christina has been fighting to defend public schools against attacks on them by political extremists. She has served on the Chino Valley Unified School District Board of Education. In that capacity, she has gone head-to-head with MAGA fanatic Sonja Shaw and her array of allies throughout Orange County. She has been attacked by Calvary Hills Pastor Jack Hibbs, US Attorney Bill Essayli, the array of Moms for Liberty school board members (Leandra Blades, Madison Miner, Mari Barke, etc.,), and the California Policy Center. Gagnier has been on the main front fighting for ALL of our kids. She bears the scars from those battles and has learned the lessons that accompany them.
In addition to serving on the CVUSD board, Christina was a co-founder in 2023 of a national organization designed to help local communities organize against the Project 2025 assault on our public schools. Our Schools USA now has chapters in 40 states. Christina knows that public schools are the foundation of national greatness.
Christina comprehends the constitution and the system of laws that derive from it. Christina is an attorney who has taught law courses at UC Irvine over the last decade. She joins a stellar array of such professors who have contributed so much to our community and nation. These include luminaries like Katie Porter and Dave Min. At a time when there is a frontal assault on every imaginable constitutional principle, it is important that we have elected representatives who understand core constitutional doctrines and are skilled in the procedures necessary to restore the rule of law to our nation.
Much of Christina’s legal practice has focused one of the most vital issues imaginable: the encroachment of technology on our privacy. At a time when our Social Security numbers are being sold off to the highest bidders, Christina Gagnier is exactly the person we need to protect us against those who would use our personal information for private gain. Christina does not just support women’s rights in word, she has used her knowledge of the law to protect those rights in practice. She has done the same for immigrants, the LGBTQ+ community, people with special needs, and veterans.
Christina has fought battles in the political arena. Christina has fought battles in the legal arena. Christina has fought battles on school boards. She knows and understands MAGA. She is ready to join the other outstanding Democratic legislators from Orange County in the House in order to reestablish our constitution and revitalize our nation.

He points out that the GOP is focusing their attacks on her. Just like two years ago they focused them on Allyson (because they preferred to run against Joe Kerr.) Jasmine Crockett has also endorsed Esther. We all love Jasmine, but… I hate it when these bigfoots come out of the blue to endorse someone when they PROBABLY haven’t looked at all the alternatives.
I hope ONE of these two women breaks through, or else we’re likely to end up with Kerr vs. Young Kim in a repeat of 2024.

Varet strikes as someone really special, almost genetically engineered to terminate Young Kim’s tenure in Congress — and that was even before I read Pearlman’s endorsement.

It should be possible to find another race for whoever doesn’t tun in this one.

Chmielewski is of course singing the wonders of Joe Kerr, and denigrating the others, whenever the race comes up. Joe is a Dan type Democrat.

Funny, I don’t think Florice even likes Joe Kerr, that’s the impression I got a couple years ago anyway. Probably one of my last civil conversations with her, two years ago, she told me don’t worry, there’ll be another candidate soon, a better and female candidate, and that turned out to be Allyson.
Florice wants to join her female confederates on the DNC. She’ll favor whoever she has to favor. Her subjective “liking” of Kerr is immaterial.
Here’s the list of candidates for CA 40 that I found on Ballotpedia on June 22. The only Republican is Young Kim. Christian Ahmed is NPP. And the Democrats are: Christina Gagnier, Joe Kerr, Nina Linh, Christian Mendez, Paula Swift, and Esther Kim Varet. I heard that another Democrat is going to declare after attending the Eric Swalwell town hall last week, but I don’t remember the name.

Every candidate other than Kerr is a vote for Kerr. Every vote for Kerr is a vote for Young Kim.
