[Ed. Note: evening of 6/15/2022: With so few ballots yet to be processed and no really close races left to address, we’re going to stop the daily counts at this point; we’ll simply publish the final results once they become available.]
Note that this will be where election updates occur for at least the next few days. (These files get too large to load and edit pretty quickly, which is why in the fall we have one per day.) I’ll also begin to cull the races that are no longer in doubt or possibly just report the bottom line in less space-intensive form.
*Thanks Dr. D., for your continuing excellence. It is about time to mention where we stand with the Republican Party across the Nation and the World.
We are card carrying Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger Outlier Conservative Republicans.
We have never believed in the Evil Trumpster, his lies or his ability to play the Charismatic White Father Devine. We don’t believe he supports the 2nd Amendment for Law Abiding Citizens. We don’t believe he supports everyday Police or Public Safety Officers unless they are members of the Proud Boyz or Oath Keepers. We don’t believe he supports our folks in the Military unless he can use they to create Martial Law to do his own private bidding – as racist killers. Hey, we could be wrong, but his kissing up to the Saudi’s before it was cool, or kissing up in BroMode to Vlade Putin and Jeffrey Epstein was never impressive to us. His 30,000 documented lies and misrepresentations are also unworthy of those of us who have supported Republican Candidates and personalities through-out the years. His ability to intimidate, threaten and pay-off whoever he can, as fast as he can……is also not so attractive. There is little doubt that there have been a variety of Presidents during our lifetime that we have not been proud of including: LBJ, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, George H.W. Bush, The Clinton’s and the Reborn Jimmy Carter (who may have made amends through his many good deeds after leaving office.)
The time has come for Republicans in general to stand up and be counted. If you are still for The Trumpster – and you are currently elected or running for office. Be Brave…
Come Right Out and scream from the rafters: “I wear my MAGA HAT every day. I sleep with my Trumpy Bear every night and I am willing to give up any of my children to the Grand Master Trump!”
Meanwhile, we will remain calm…..look for candidates that offer intelligent repose and are willing to accept that we all live in a Global Society! That we are experiencing an over-populated planet with more money chasing less goods. If not, those with an ounce of investigative thought…..might just have to step away from your campaign.
*Ray Steven has a great song back in the day: “You better take care of business…Mr. Businessman!” This so relates to our current price gouging by Big Oil, Big Pharma, Big
Agra and folks that are running as businessMEN! Caruso, Trump and others. One thing
they have shown, “BusinessMEN are in it for themselves….not the public good.” The last business folks to run our country before Trump were The Harding Administration and the Herbert Hoover Administration. Then came Trump. Everytime we pick a BusinessMAN as President…..the results have been less than expected. No more BusinessMEN running for anything. Remember Carly Fiorina? She was the only BusinessWOMAN that has run and she didn’t fair very well….. Time for Governors and Senators and Independent Activists to run. Even Ross Perot couldn’t do it……so
back to the drawing board of “out front idiots”….rather than “backdoor idiots”…eh?
From these results it looks like the OC has gone the way of San Francisco. The conservative country has gone radical left. With the election of ASIF MAHMOOD (DEM) and Katie Porter being the top radicals. Know wonder my neighborhood is full of for sale signs. Very sad.
Heh – heh. Know wonder. Enjoy Texas!
(The ability of out automatic avatar assignment system to peg most anonymous is, once again, amazing.)
“OC going the way of San Francisco” is indeed a problem here — if by that you mean embracing roadblocks to serious progressive reform like SF’s most prominent current politicians, Newson and Pelosi.
Porter is a liberal reformer, not a radical. She just happens to be really good at it and tech savvy to boot.
How Dr. Mahmood qualifies as a “radical” is beyond me — and apparently beyond you, as you don’t even bother to explain it. Is it because he sounds Muslim to you?
Don’t worry: the “for sale” signs will be coming down now that interest rates are way up and home sales will be on the skids.
Hi, Greg. I have a newbie question: Is the Leon Sit result, 514 write-in votes, par for the course, more or less what was expected for a write-in?
