Suppose the “they have guns” statement refers to the fact that Trump supporters “own” guns and there is no direct knowledge that anyone is carrying during the rally. That scenario seems likely, as the Secret Service would not allow Trump on the stage if there was direct knowledge that people were carrying.That changes the narrative, doesn’t it?
Do you credit Cassidy Hutchison’s testimony about what Trump told the Secret Service to do regarding letting people into the area where he was speaking? (This assumes that your are familiar with what she said — and no, this is not the part about him grabbing for a wheel or neck.)

This is entirely clear. Is it “dispositive”? Of course not — it’s not supposed to be! It’s a specific piece of evidence presented. although not — thank you, Kevin McCarthy! — under cross-examination. And, in fact, the crowd outside the area was NOT allowed in while bearing arms — due to those mags! They remained outside, preparing to march to the Capitol with Trump as their protection. Now, he had wanted them in the area to make the crowd look bigger — and that’s why he told them to “take down the effin’ mags.” Why does that matter? One likely possibility that Trump knew that it was the presence of the mags that was keeping them out — because he knew that they were armed.
(Maybe you should watch the hearings yourself rather than relying on whatever media you favor.)
It’s the testimony about his grabbing at a wheel and a neck is where hearsay comes into play. She is a percipient witness to a person who was in the car telling her that, and that it all she had to be: her testimony makes it likely to conclude that someone who was well-positioned to know actually said this. The possibility exists that she could be telling the truth and that the source was just making up a story about President “Tough on china” for the giggles of it. But does that seem likely? Well, they’ll probably testify, so we’ll likely find out. And all evidence suggests that, yes, he did want to go to and lead the march, Mussolini-style.

I believe that Rose Bird and her colleagues were recalled rather than impeached. There is no provision for the recall of federal judges.
Some have been impeached, but you tell me how we get to a 2/3 majority of the Senate before we try. This is why the focus is on court expansion rather than impeachment.
Justice Bird was neither recalled nor impeached.
Voters in November 1986 declined to retain her (and Grodin and Reynoso).

In other news, I can’t publish my final results for legislative districts that include OC because some of our districts are shared with San Diego — and literally 80.4% of California’s votes that still to be counted over the next 12 days are from San Diego County. San Diego’s just a little larger than OC — with roughly 121,500 more voters and 36,400 more submitted ballots — but while OC finished on June 14, three weeks later San Diego still has 68,500 ballots left.
