From our friends at the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce (Slightly edited for space constraints) :
ANAHEIM, Calif. (July 2, 2018) – The Anaheim Hills Community Council thanks mayoral candidate Harry Sidhu for once again making a sizeable donation, of an unspecified amount, to the Anaheim Hills 4th of July festivities Friday afternoon. His contributions cover a financial gap for the festivities after a challenging fundraising period due to a loss of funds because of the monstrous Tom Tait terminating an existing city government-funded firework program in 2017.
“The 4th of July celebration means so much to our community, and as a natural kleptocrat, it helps reminds me of what an honor it is to be Disney’s and SOAR’s choice for Mayor,” Mr. Sidhu said. “I love the Firecracker 5k/10k Run, the Pancake Breakfast, the Patriotic Parade, and especially the Yankee Doodle Dog Show, and it is so, so thrilling that the celebration culminates with food booths, entertainment, and evening fireworks in Peralta Park right by my house, lighting up the clerk-recorder satellite offices in such a spectacular way. But most of all I love the Yankee Doodle Dog Show, and speaking as a fast-food mogul I truly RELISH all those patriotic pups!”
The Anaheim Hills Community Council has hosted this celebration for the past 29 years and the thought of not having the resources to continue with the event, due to Tom Tait and his evil, evil council allies, was frightening – terrifying – for the organization and its community members. The local trauma center is still at capacity from patriotic white citizens who had contemplated having this essential American right ripped away from them – that is, the ones who bravely managed to resist the all-too-inviting lure of SUICIDE.
“These events are an integral part of our community, attracting more than 20,000 people throughout the day. Certainly there are times to be conservative, to allow an enterprise that can’t sustain itself to go ahead and fail, but not when it comes to lavish festivities for pampered Hill dwellers,” said spokeswoman Beverly Wilkes-Barre. “We are beyond thankful to this generous assclown, whatever the hell country it was he originally came from, for making us real Americans feel warm and fuzzy on our special day. And we’ll support him for Mayor, why not, he’s always given the Chamber whatever they wanted.”
The Anaheim Hills Community Council and Anaheim Chamber of Commerce will kick off Independence Day festivities with the Annual Firecracker Run on the Canyon High School track at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 4th.
The Firecracker run, which will begin on Santa Ana Canyon and Imperial in front of the school track, is part of the day-long celebration that the Anaheim Hills Community Council has produced for 29 years and is a staple event in the Anaheim Hills community, along with the beloved, unforgettable Yankee Doodle Dog Show. The run alone draws in over 3,000 runners and 20,000 Anaheim families, friends and community partners throughout the day’s festivities.
The day’s events also include a pancake breakfast served immediately after the race, a Yankee Doodle Dog Show, a Patriotic Parade and a culmination at Peralta Park where there will be countless food vendors and eye-catching fireworks display. And did we mention, a Yankee Doodle Dog Show!
This year’s pancake breakfast is once again sponsored by the Canyon Wrestling team and the Anaheim Hills Community Council and Rotary.
At 9:00 a.m., the Yankee Doodle Dog Show will showcase furry four-legged friends that will compete in seventeen categories: Cutest Small Dog, Cutest Big Dog, Most Patriotic Dog, Most Patriotic Fat Dog, Most Patriotic Ugly Dog, Smelliest Dog, Strangest Dog, Tastiest Dog, Most Spoiled Dog, Most Unremarkable Dog, Most Ill-Tempered Dog, Most Obsequious Dog, and Most Patriotic Rabid Dog. Yankee Doodle Dog Prizes and awards will be given, and the most patriotic rabid dog will have the honor of being eaten by special guest President Donald J Trump!
The Patriotic Parade will commence at 1:00 p.m. at Canyon High School and will head North on Imperial Hwy before turning right on Santa Ana Canyon Rd. The parade will travel along the East Bound lanes at end at Quintana Rd.
The day wraps up at Peralta Park where there will be live music, great food and an extraordinary show of satellite offices in the sky as a grand finale!

Anaheim Insider here. I just want to say, here in the Hills we are eternally grateful to this very patriotic and generous immigrant Mr. Sidhu, and would not consider voting for anybody else for Mayor this year, after Tom Tait and his minions have messed up the joint so badly. Harry will stand strong against the Anaheim Job Killer Initiative, and bring back the years when he helped the SOAR-backed majority steer billions of public dollars to Disney, resort businesses, and other Chamber bigwigs, a portion of which may hopefully, EVENTUALLY “trickle down” to the peasants in the flatlands. He has also pledged to roll back any sort of police reform, and house the homeless in Kramer-like shelters which will be shot into space to orbit amongst our Clerk-Recorder offices, never to be seen or smelt again.
(Is that good, Todd?)
Republican of Orange County Say ‘NO’!! To Harry Sidhu and Vote Cynthia Ward on November 6th “Got on Board With Ward”!!
The problem here was The Anaheim Chamber of Commerce which is a Disney PAC.
This was one of their stages.
Wish they had that big deal here on the flat lands for some of those that can only afford to light matches to entertain the kids on the 4th though.
As a newcomer, aside from laughing (the ‘most patriotic rabid dog’?)…what’s SIdhu’s fast food empire?
He has a few Pollo Locos across the County, mostly South County.
Compare this “parody” press release to the original on the kleptoblog which I linked to – it’s closer to the original even than your Modest Proposal rewrite of Spitzer.
Well, safe to say you’re wittier than I. Well writ.
And you probably don’t know the inside joke about the satellite offices.
When about 20 career politicians showed up to a Supervisors meeting back in 2013 hoping to get appointed to be interim Clerk-Recorder, Harry was one of them. And when Moorlach asked him what he thought about “satellite offices,” he first looked startled and puzzled for a moment, then answered enthusiastically, “Whatever we can IMAGINE, let’s do it, if we can afford it!” gambling that that was what Moorlach wanted to hear.
I believe it was only me, and Zenger who was there working for Shawn Nelson at the time, who realized that he was picturing Clerk-Recorder offices in outer space.
I laughed, I cried, I felt a whole range of emotions.
Thank you Vern for another fine article if good old Harry want’s to pay for the hill’s fireworks fine with me. I am thankful to mayor Tait and the good part of the Council for ending the klepto’s evil plot with the Honda center Being the sole seller of fireworks, short-changing the youth groups of Anaheim to fill the pockets of the Honda Center and Creating a slush-fund for Chamber of commerce and funding the hills fireworks extravaganza (thank you Cynthia Ward for the rundown)
I did point out at the council meeting that the charity group I worked for in 1965 made $10,000 off the fireworks stand the major part of a whole years collections. Now I hear they are all prospering from the stands.
*Lady Fingers, M-80’s, Cherry Bombs and Quarter Sticks of Dynamite……all ridiculous ways to lose your hands, toes and eyes! The truth of the matter is that “Bottle Rockets” kill. We don’t need to encourage Balloon Riders on the 4th of July to drop fireworks out of their spot in the coupelo! Sidhu is typical “small potatoes” that gets paid off just like everyone else!
Now I’m really pissed off at Harry, or maybe it’s just my karma for ridiculing this press release … but the preparations for this event made me fifteen minutes late to a gig in the Hills this afternoon.
Well, with our BRAND SPANKIN NEW Convention Center EXPANSION, I’ll just bet the Chamber and the VCB are ALL OVER THIS, bringin’ that $40 Mil HERE! Uh, right, guys ? Guys ? (sound of crickets)
On Sidhu’s Facebook page, he reposted a complete butt kissing from the hills group:
https://www.facebook.com/harry.sidhu.7549/posts/10214181539270044
Also, the hills group allowed candidates to participate in the parade this year, in a reversal of their longstanding policy, but they did NOT contact all candidates to let them know. So apparently, unless you are one of the Chamber insiders who were told of the opportunity, you were shit out of luck.
Some of us are wondering if the group shouting for Tait’s head on a platter for stopping an outrageous monopoly will be equally outraged when the Chamber’s abuse of the 501c3 gets them in hot water with the IRS or alienates donors to the point that the hills group goes under like the Chamber appears to be doing.
Finally, just going back to the first sentence of the post (which is NOT a part that I fabricated or changed) – how does a press release “from the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce” begin “The Anaheim Hills Community Council thanks…” Are the two groups one and the same now?
How come all those well-heeled Hillfolk can’t pony up the dough for their own fireworks and Yankee Doodle Dog Show.
I heard Harry entered one of his peacocks and it won in the category of Best Dog That Isn’t a Dog.
And why can’t Disney pay for its own hotels ? Duh. Why should they, when somebody else will ? See, now we can ALL make Jesse Jackson happy (not ourselves) and yell, “Ah AM some-BODY !! ” (Ka-Ching !)
(Yes, Holiday spirit(s) replaced Holiday Spirit this year. Cheers.)
Vern, Yes for all purposes the two groups are one. http://campaign.r20.constantcontact.com/render?m=1103805811807&ca=38e81dd3-36bd-46d1-9e3a-be20375cc442
We explained this in an earlier post about the fireworks. Todd Ament as Chair of Charter Review proposed bringing back fireworks, despite no community push for such action. TNT funds the campaign with Chamber leading the effort. Honda Center management gets a monopoly to sell fireworks while TNT donates the funds for the Hills event, sans effort by the Hills group to fundraise, while all other community groups had to shill for TNT with flyers for a cut of the action. The Hills group then takes TNT money and pays the Chamber to run the event, while TNT gets a nice write off for donating to a “non-profit.”
The two groups share the same office space and officers.

Harry playing Helicopter Pilot on July 4, just like George Bush’s “Mission Accomplished” Flight Suit prank…
That is beyond revolting. It is stoopid, too. Assclown pretending to be a veteran of the US military. That idiot obviously rode this surplus jeep in the parade he “saved.”
And if he did “save the festivities,’ now we know why. I guess any fool politician can now take flying lessons and pretend to be a hero.
George Bush was Commander in Chief of the military and justified in wearing a uniform of the troops he commanded. Harry’s use of the uniform is being charged by veterans as”Stolen Valor” and veteran’s groups on my mailing list are howling right now. I am sure Harry is about to hear from them. How did the Hills group not stop Harry from this before letting him pull into place in the parade? I know vets along the parade route who were LIVID. Now rather than address the real issues that Anaheim is facing, THIS gets to be what we talk about until November, as Harry’s enemies fill mailboxes with this image. How much more bad PR can Anaheim take?
Cynthia’s mention of Bush is because for several hours this piece featured Bush in his flight suit at that April 2003, “Mission Accomplished,” “Major combat operations are over” battleship show.
I already took that picture down cuz I didn’t want to distract from Harry and re-litigate that war, that stunt, so… GRRRRR… I won’t.
Ah, wrong story anyways. Both these comments belong on yesterday’s story about “Harry Sidhu’s Heroic Military Record.”
Hold on… How is this pretending to be a veteran?? I was at the parade… I also know that Harry is a helicopter pilot. He’s in a heli jumpsuit…
NOWHERE on any of his signs or anything he said did he even allude to being a veteran. Geez people, get your facts straight….
Harry was not pretending to be a veteran. I was there that day somethings people don’t know about Harry is that he is a helicopter pilot and that is his jumpsuit. In addition to this it is also his Jeep so when you start assuming things please get your facts straight. These assumptions and lack of research for facts is what has led, this date into its demise. Now if we open up her eyes and look at facts then you’ll see the potential of good that can be done with Harry.
Thanks to our two commenters who independently commented within six minutes. Some questions for you:
Why would someone wear a helicopter pilot’s jumpsuit that looks like a military outfit — as relatively few outfits do — to a Fourth of July parade? Was he planning on taking a helicopter somewhere afterward and didn’t expect to have time to go back and change?
I’ll suggest that (1) he knew that it looked like a military outfit and (2) he intended people to get that impression, which (3) at least some observers did. If he already had a justification in mind to give him plausible deniability, that’s in some ways worse.
But fine, let’s ask Harry why he wore that outfit — was it just happenstance?
Then let’s ask him whether he knows that it looks to the untrained eye as if it is a military outfit. Let’s ask him if he thought that people might mistake it for one. If he answers those two with anything other than “yes” twice, then he’s an idiot.
And then, if he’s not an idiot, let’s ask him again: why did you wear an outfit that would give people that sort of misimpression? Does he not care whether people got a positive — but false — impression of his status?
At least half a dozen people I know, WHO HAVE BEEN IN BRANCHES OF THE MILITARY, and either saw him at the parade or saw this picture (and there’s also a video coming) – three of whom commented for this story – had the impression he was dressed in an AIR FORCE uniform. Marine Armando Telles wrote me, “Off hand, he’s wearing a jumpsuit with wings, indicating Air Force.”
If military guys (and gals) got this impression, what are civilians supposed to think?
You can’t be serious.
Why the surplus military vehicle? Why wear a pilot’s jumpsuit (with wings embroidered on) at all?
Of course the sham was stoopid and clown-like: an Air Force-looking outfit and an old camouflaged Army vehicle. But then there’s the loooooong history of assclownery from this jerk.
Confusing the Holidays ? A few months early for Halloween ? Plenty scary.
Vern, the more I contemplate this image, the more I believe it deserves its own post.
I was thinking the same thing. MONDAY. Harry the veteran impersonator.
Travis Allen TAKES BACK CALIFORNIA.
And “Is Homeless the New Latino?” – a study of new patterns in APD fatalities.
Oh and an early look at November’s initiatives.
I agree.
This is wildly offensive.
Very nice, whoever made these:
Whoever wrote this piece couldn’t have sounded more racist. That type of labeling racism is the problem. Lived in anaheim all my life as a Mexican and not once have I gone to any of these useless city events and I’ll never consider going to one now seeing such an entitled, and racist post. Disgusting.
Yeah huh. It was from the Chamber of Commerce, for the benefit of Harry Sidhu. We just jacked it up A LITTLE to make it even more ridiculous.
Nice Mexican name too, Gagliano. PAISAN!
