I saw this photo — one of many of seen in its genre in which animals that aren’t supposed to “get along” do so, something that I’ve experienced in my own life — on a Facebook post linking to a page full of them, and it got me thinking.

As a crude generalization across the animal kingdom, if you aren’t programmed to eat those with whom you grown up (as various sorts of insects and such are), you’re generally programmed to act like you love them.
Is there a larger lesson here for human culture?
Yes, I know — you’re not used to my softer side and it may disturb you. Just enjoy the cat and ferrets photo, then.
About Greg Diamond
Somewhat verbose attorney, semi-disabled and semi-retired, residing in northwest Brea. Occasionally ran for office against jerks who otherwise would have gonr unopposed. Got 45% of the vote against Bob Huff for State Senate in 2012; Josh Newman then won the seat in 2016. In 2014 became the first attorney to challenge OCDA Tony Rackauckas since 2002; Todd Spitzer then won that seat in 2018. Every time he's run against some rotten incumbent, the *next* person to challenge them wins! He's OK with that.
Corrupt party hacks hate him. He's OK with that too.
He does advise some local campaigns informally and (so far) without compensation. (If that last bit changes, he will declare the interest.)
His daughter is a professional campaign treasurer. He doesn't usually know whom she and her firm represent. Whether they do so never influences his endorsements or coverage. (He does have his own strong opinions.) But when he does check campaign finance forms, he is often happily surprised to learn that good candidates he respects often DO hire her firm. (Maybe bad ones are scared off by his relationship with her, but they needn't be.)
i love both cats and ferrets,,,especially when grilled with a little olive oil and garlic
Not as many ways to skin a ferret though, just the one main one.
Thanks! – that was HILARIOUS! Forwarding it to about 6 – 8 friends (yeah, I know, hard to believe I have that many) The clip credits ‘unknown’ but the YouTube end panel has links to comedian Aaron Wilburn – more yuks, but I think ‘Cat’ is the best one posted!
Thanks Greg. I am going to send this article to my Kitty Cat. We made fantastic love again tonight. Kitty Cat, Greg thinks that I am being sarcastic as usual.
