I know we at the OJB normally advertise Orange County events, but since this is happening in Long Beach I figure I should go ahead and take the initiative to publicize this since:
a) this is a topic that I cover quite a bit
b) Chris Prevatt of TheLiberalOC won’t publicize it even though it is being held in the city of his legal residence (or because his boss, the City of the Beige’s favorite NIMBY known as the Northwood Night Stalker, doesn’t like supporters of the 420)
and
c) the event is being hosted by a “progressive” Christian church in Southern California (take note Progressive Christians United -Orange County and the so called “progressive” Christian churches in Orange County who claim to stand for “social justice” and “human rights”) that acknowledges this issue as important enough for people of faith and leaders of the clergy to discuss and support rather than take the Charlie Brown like wishy washy position of neutrality

It’s time to get the gov to reclassify marjuana. Most people know that marijuana is nothing like cocaine, heroin or alchohol. Tax Like Wine intiative makes economic sense. If people want pot, it’s easy to get on the street. The cartels love the fact that the Feds are closing down the dispersaries.
Marijuana is the largest cash crop in Ca. This is a fact. It’s time to cut our losses on the so called drug war on pot.
I saw 8 O.C. deputies close a Long Beach dispensary in Nov. Those 8 deputies probably make 60,000 per year. They had to close the store, take the inventory & do the paper work. It prpbably too 3-4 days of the counties time. Do the math. It makes no sense.
Change marijuana classification & let us tax it like wine. There’s a whole industry that will & can be remarkably profitable to the state.

They (Congress) are the morons escalating the War on Drugs. With a few notable exceptions like Ron Paul, Jerald Polis, Dennis Kucinich and (dare I say it?) Dana Rohrbacher.
