The Palestinian American Women Association (PAWA) announced Helen Thomas to be the keynote speaker at their annual International Women’s Day banquet.

Thomas’s controversial remarks calling on Jews to “get the hell out of Palestine,” which was captured on videotape and widely disseminated on the internet forced her to resign from Hearst newspaper and her post as dean of the White House Press corp.

More recently, the 90-year old journalistic icon had her name removed from Wayne State University’s annual Spirit of Diversity award after she said Congress, the White House, Hollywood and Wall Street are owned by Zionists during a workshop on the misconceptions of Arabs in Dearborn on Dec 2.

The event will be held on March 12 at the Embassy Suites in Garden Grove.
