The Orange Juice Blog has added a lot of ‘fresh juice’ into the mix. I don’t have a tidal wave of suggestions to help continue this website’s reputation as a top spot for political analysis and chatter in the county, but today I present one of just two prospective bloggers I have in mind. This mystery writer has been contacted and is all for it. The blogger is happy, Arab, and heavily involved in the community.

I started writing here on Orange Juice about various topics like designating Little Arabia in Anaheim, pro-Palestinian events in the community, Bill Dalati’s candidacy for Anaheim city council and Allan Mansoor’s status as sell-out extraordinaire. This mystery blogger can hit all those topics and more. Better yet, they will be done much better!

Our potential addition has been published in the Orange County Register and is a whiz at social networking/web 2.0. That could potentially help increase the readership of our blog, not to mention the diversity of those who stop by for a visit or two during the day.

An example – and just a sample really – of what our possible future blogger can do for us here is available below for a short read:

Little Arabia’s Top 5 Moment’s of 2010

1. “Check it Right…You Ain’t White!” residents were encouraged by a Census Complete Count Committee campaign slogan reaching out to Arab Americans this past February. The campaign, which held a kick-off event in February at Victory Restaurant, attracted local, national and international media, including the OC Register, Newsweek, NPR, CBS, KFI, Aljzeera and Alhurra.

2. Comedians Dean Obeildallah, Aron Kader, Maysoon Zayed, Eman Morgan, Jimmy Goson, and Maria Shehata rocked Anaheim’s House of Blues during their Arabs Gone Wild Comedy Tour, which was heavily promoted throughout Little Arabia to attract hundreds for laughter in the sold-out show.

3. Anaheim’s Olive Tree Restaurant, which was recently featured in the LA Times, got its fame for its annual Ramadan Iftar Buffet.

4. Fusion Ultra Lounge, one of Little Arabia’s hottest hookah joints, re-opened in February with a performance by Cypress Hill’s B-Real.

5. “Little Arabia Grows Up,” wrote OC Weekly Editor Gustavo Arellano! And it’s not done growing.
