Political cartoonist Lalo Alcaraz of “La Cucaracha” fame will be visiting the Fullerton Public Library this week. He’ll be interviewed by OC Weekly’s Gustavo Arellano and will have his new 2011 calendars on hand just in time for the holidays. (Check the above flier for the 411) It’s just the latest in a series of secret-not-so-secret “Viva La Raza” events at FPL. Arellano spoke weeks ago about Steinbeck’s “Uvas de Wrath,” then brought the “Mi Casa es Mi Casa” Bernal family for a night of local civil rights history and is now hosting Alcaraz. Me thinks the basement auditorium of the FPL is becoming an underground hub of the reconquista! Sssshh!

Ps, maybe Alcaraz can touch up the Lemon Street Murals while he’s down here. Supervisor Shawn Nelson would LOVE that!
