Jerry Brown’s victory in the general election this month could be great news for California’s Latinos, according to an article in the Sacramento Bee.
He is expected to sign a bill that Governor Scharzenegger voted four times, that would let undocumented college students apply for financial aid from a pool of money that is private but administered by state colleges and universities.
Here are a few excerpts from the Bee article:
In the 1970s, Brown appointed the first Latinos to positions of California state power. He signed the nation’s only law to give farmworkers the right to choose unions.
“I’m not ashamed of the fact that people, particularly when they’re poor and when they don’t have power, and they don’t even speak English, they need a strong lawyer advocate standing in their corner,” Brown said in Fresno.
“I’m going to treat everybody, whether they’re documented or not,” he said, “as God’s child, and my brothers and sisters.”
He vowed that as governor he’d “do whatever I can” to get Congress to approve laws that include a path to legal status.
“Do we deport 2 million people in California, 11 million people throughout the country?” he said. “This is a real human tragedy.”

I have to correct you MQ: there is lot of resistance in Mexico even more than here. There are nonstop protests in Mexico city main square and Reforma Blvd.

Jerry Brown will only add to the problems in California, they started with him anyway. I love how he says, he didnt creat this problem (sounds like Obama) liberal law makers create problems. They let Californias spending get out of control. Boxer and Feinstein, they are all corrupt. We need to tax the spanish language, that will fix the freakin problems. We will have enough money in one week to fix the budget and the rest of the leaches will flee out of here! Its a win / win!

I will join 11 other Southern Californians on a tour of Mexico, leaving Monday. Despite our safety being assured we were asked to have our affairs in order.
Mexico is a dangerous place right now. It’s problems represent a “clear and present danger” to America. Not to be overly dramatic.
I am at a loss as to how naive most people (especially the Democrats) are with regard to:
A) The plight of the people there (and the refugfees here).
B) The ongoing denial of repeated administrations of the issues facing our neighbor.
C) Funding a WAR against a country who was the second poorest on the planet the day we attacked, and is now one of the richest (per capita)?
I hope to report back that hope exists but, I am prepared to tell everyone that the situation in Mexico is bleak.

All of these BS problems can be solved with the annexation of Mexico into the United States.
The opening up of the great southern territory to Americanism style expansion would free the inhabitants from a dysfunctional government and armies of criminal drug Kingpins.
Just think, as the hard working Americans carve out their American dream in the New American expansion territory, California’s population would drop substantially, leaving only the social liberals and retired government worker, who would then be forced to feed upon themselves like cannibals.
As California collapses under it’s mismanagement, what is the stop a free people from moving south? I know a lot of people who go south for a couple weeks every year, they have staked out they plots of land already.
Who would stop them? (How about a swap? California for Mexico)
And what would we do with million’s of people who in most cases cannot even read and write in their own language? That is why we have the stupid HABLA program that is funded by Healthy families commission! STUPID!
America needs to close up its border to the South and stop the money flowing back to Mexico from the US. The money sent back to Mexico from America is vital to the Mexican economy! You take away the easy cash and the Mexican Government would be forced to go it alone!
The American Governing body is killing the Mexican Dream because the Mexicans are too busy wanting the American dream! Except it is not a dream for average American people when thousands of foreign speaking third world people start moving into their neighborhoods! Then it becomes a cultural disaster and ends up in a city like Santa Ana!
