Vote for freedom in the 48th District, vote for Mike Binkley!

Did you know that there is a third option on the ballot in the 48th Congressional District this year?  That’s right, if you are tired of being served by lame Congressman John Campbell, and leery of voting for Agranista Beth Krom, you can vote for a candidate who actually values freedom, Mike Binkley.

Binkley is an author who lives in Laguna Woods.

Here is Binkley’s candidate’s statement:

Why vote Libertarian?

First, Democratic politicians have covertly joined Republicans in their Neocon agenda. Like professional wrestlers, these politicians use Kabuki-like gestures of conflict to mask their unity in pursuing the Neocon agenda: an endless war abroad, an assault on the Constitution and building an entitlement time-bomb.

The 2006 and 2010 Quadrennial Defense Review, the nation’s long-term military blueprint, documents their plans for their 80-year war in the Middle East. Since the 2008 election, they’ve escalated their wars in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Yemen.

The Obama Administration has seamlessly continued the Bush Administration’s attack on our Constitutional rights. Democratic Neocons have eviscerated habeas corpus, the right to be free of the government secretly imprisoning you, indefinitely. Democratic Neocons have continued rendition, the policy of delivering (sometimes innocent) victims to third countries for torture. Earlier this year, Democratic Neocons in Congress quietly reauthorized the PATRIOT Act.

The combined unfunded liability of Social Security and Medicare has reached nearly $107 trillion. (Source: The 2009 Social Security and Medicare Trustees Report) Their new entitlement has only made their time-bomb bigger.

Libertarians stand alone against the Neocons’ war abroad and at home and against unsustainable fiscal irresponsibility.
Second, you can make a difference. Our major parties have corrupted the elections so that 95% of the incumbents win. Electing a Libertarian to Congress would be big news. It would create a political earthquake. It would force the Neocons to explain their reckless policy. It would force an end to their reckless policy.
