The Benavides Hatergate scandal blew up again today as Minuteman Lupe Moreno began a libelous jihad against Mexican civil rights activist Naui Huitzilopochtli. Moreno forwarded a letter asking her hater supporters to attack Naui on the O.C. Register’s website. The letter appears below.
Moreno filed a false police report with the SAPD claiming that Naui attacked a pastor at the Santa Ana Independence Day event that Moreno and her Minutemen friends took over. Naui tells me that is a total lie and that he would be willing to go get a statement from the minister in question.
Here is the real question – what sort of minister hangs out with Minutemen? Why does Lupe go all the way to Newport Beach to attend Liberty Baptist Church? Does this church condone hatred of immigrants? Click here to email the Pastor at Liberty Baptist.

True…the US is the only nation that has used the nuclear bomb, not once but twice. And the appropriateness of it will continue to be debated.
However, when viewed through the lens of war, and when you are trying to prevent further losses, Military leaders may sacrifice themselves or their men to prevent further losses…so a way of looking at is that the dropping of the bombs even over civilians populations prevented greater losses of American and Allied troops, and also most likely PREVENTED greater losses of Japanese civilians because Japanese military leaders did not believe in surrender neither of themselves nor of their civilian population.
Furthermore, an aggressor nation exposes itself to the full-force and retaliation of the nation being attacked, as the US was attacked at Perl Harbor, when there was no standing declaration of war.
Finally, I do admit that another reason for dropping the bomb over Japanese was two-fold: i) to send a message to the expansionist aspirations of Josef Stalin (our ally during WWII); and ii) possibly not just a defensive measure but perhaps also included a certain level of irrational racial prejudice against the Japanese.
But the point of my comments here is not world history, or activities by the CIA, but rather your stated irrational prejudices and bigotry against Latinos/Hispanics/Mexicans, and come to find out also your prejudice against Jewish people.

Having Economic Discrimination (i.e. people divided by class) is very different from a stated irrational prejudice of hatred and bigotry which is based on race or ethnicity.
For example, to illustrate the point: you could have a wealthy and a poor Mexican, but in the eyes of a bigot they are both worthless. The hater, bigot or racist will continue to have the irrational hate.
So bigots complicate matters. Because even if we work to create economic opportunities for members of society (to deal with the Economic Class disparities); the Haters/bigots will continue their hatred, bigotry or ignorance.

You need to remind yourself of the unique history of Spanish/Mexican culture in the Southwest of the US.
Spanish/Mexican CULTURE AND LANGUAGE existed for over 300 years BEFORE the Anglo culture was imposed by the US illegal take-over of Northern Mexico (now the Southwest of the US); and has continued to exist for over 150 years AFTER it; and most likely will continue to exist, especially as Americans of Latino/Hispanic/Mexican descent become the majority in the US in the next 30-45 years..
But that is past history, and we are all AMERICANS now, and as Americans many of us choose to maintain our Bi-Cultural identity, just as we choose to keep our spiritual/faith based identity.
