Would you like a job as a migrant farm worker?
Pundit Stephen Colbert would – he’s agreed to take the United Farm Workers’ challenge to “Take their jobs.”
Anti-immigrant forces have argued that immigrants, particularly the undocumented, have been taking jobs from Americans. Despite studies clearly showing that comprehensive immigration reform would help the American economy, they’ve insisted on using the economic crisis as a way to stall real reform. That’s why UFW – and now, Stephen Colbert – are showing the whole country that farm workers’ jobs aren’t easy.
Everyone who works in agriculture knows that it’s hard work. And because so many immigrants work on farms, Congress proposed the AgJobs bill, which would protect the workers who bring food to our tables by granting them temporary protected status. That status would help keep them from being exploited by farm owners.
Watch Colbert decide to try being a farm worker, and then tell Congress to pass AgJobs .
We can’t let Congress stand by when workers are treated unfairly. Stephen Colbert is doing his part to understand the work farm workers do. Tell Congress to do theirs and pass AgJobs as a step toward comprehensive immigration reform.

How ignorant. Do you think turning countries into third worlds is in the DNA of illegals? If so which illegals? Are you saying , “and do not self deport and come in the white way”, that there are no illegal whites?
DNA? no, not in theit dna but in la raza thinking, open border thinking. if amnesty included never being a citizen and never getting to vote then they could not accomplish mission tho. of couse obana would just deport them, they would be of no use w/o votes. there is definitely a small % of white illegals

Is yoru concern that amnesty will give the new citizens a liberal vote and support of Obama and is the reason you irrationaly oppose amnesty. Is this the reason you find ways to justify their exclussion?
I met several illegal Canadians over the years. They seem to have no fear of being caught. I wonder why?

You say that Obama wants to grant amnesty so that they can vote for him in two years +.
All Legal Residents must wait at least FIVE YEARS from becoming LEGAL residents, and not using any public services, and they have to have a financial sponsor BEFORE they qualify to apply for US Citizenship.
So the argument that Obama wants to consider a comprehensive solution, rather than a status quo that harms America, so they can vote for him, is null.

It is their propaganda and talking points against Mexicans. Their fear is the browning of America.
when you have a party that caters to handouts and gives them entitlements at the tax payers expense . you bet they are voting for them . .
dwm . did you hear now that are so called president is now doing these so called silent raids . ice comes in and matches the soc sec numbers of the workers . lets say 50 -150 dont match . they find out that the workers are illegals . the employer has to GET RID OF all the workers, is then fined , ( which i dont have a problem with ) but ALL THE ILLEGALS THAT ARE ROUNDED UP IN THE RAID ARE LET GO … = WHAT A TOOL NOBAMA IS .

register with the gov . leave . get in line with everyone else . and when your name is called . IF you do not have a criminal record . then come on over . LIKE EVERY ONE ELSE .. i wouldnt even sweat the pay a fine , back taxes , stuff . JUST DO IT LIKE EVERYONE ELSE . now if you come back and hit me with the what about the anchor babies . . i wished they would change that law but if they dont . they go back with the parents and when they are old enough 18 yrs old than they can come back .
reform: healthy, educated, can offer much to America, no handouts,speaky english, % fairly distributed, not all latinos,apply from outside our borders (if not u never get to be citizen and never vote),wait in line no criminal behavior, no aids, you know…common sense

the anwser to that is no . she is trying to buy a election . BUT NO WAY DO I WANT MOON BEAM BROWN IN THERE . as lousy as sacramento is 16% rating . with a dem as gov . LOOK OUT we will fall into the ocean . at least she can veto their tax , tax ,tax, bills . .the war spending . hey we wont know for years how that will turn out . Great one and DWM the ideas you put forward sound pretty close to what Bush and Obama have proposed as part of thier plans. Perhaps a compromise is possible to get things moving forward if we would all just listen to each other and give a little bit. You don’t agree with everything of course but there seems to be some starting points.
Learn English, get in line, don’t be a criminal, ALL ARE IN THE PLANS BUSH AND OBAMA PROPOSED.
