Beth Krom was not on the Target List for 2010 the DCCC unveiled today, striking another major blow to an already anemic campaign.
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee identified 25 Democratic candidates thought to have a chance of winning a Republican-held seat ( plus one candidate trying to hold an open seat in Tennessee). Beth’s absence from the list, despite her trip late last year to DC to secure support like this, suggests that she is pretty much on her own. The big money from the outside the district won’t be helping her defeat one of the richest members of congress, John Campbell.
Its interesting to note that Beth Krom does not even make the “Emerging Races” list. Bill Hedrick IS on the Emerging list. I would expect him to be on the targeted list due to his placement last election but I am not aware of the conditions of the other districts listed.
I hope we can all get behind Bill Hedrick this year and make sure that resources are not siphoned off into the money pit that Beth Krom is shaping up to be.
We can take a seat in the House with hedrick. We can only lose with Krom.
Well I suppose the good news is that Beth Krom, AKA “Rubber Stamp” will continue in her Agranista role in Irvine. Good news for the citizens of our Congressional District, but bad news for the people of Irvine. Who knows though, if the Irvine voters come out of their coma and unelect Larry Agran in 2010, Beth could join the minority ranks on the Council? Now that would be good news.
LTPar,
Beth is teremed out on the city council. She wont be back there till a term expires.
Glad to see Hedrick made it onto the list at least, under “emerging.”
Still doesn’t change the fact that with nobody going after Ed or Dana this year, us OC Dems should be focusing on unseating the total weenie Campbell. Go Beth!
Wow this is shocking!
I thought Krom’s campaign manager Melahat Relafei was a major player and power broker. I guess not.
