Ruh roh! Remember that couple that allegedly crashed a White House dinner party? Tareq and Michaele Salahi. It turns out that Obama has known them since 2005!
Take a look at the picture above. DOES ANYONE HERE LOOK FAMILIAR??
See the white guy in the white suit? Now see the blond with the white dress? See the guy in the middle…huuuummmm.
This picture was taken 6/9/05. It seems Obama has known these two phonies for awhile, at least when he was a Senator.
They’re getting all this press now as “party crashers” and the secret service is taking heat. Funny how this has not come out in the press isn’t it?!
No wonder the couple who crashed Obama’s State dinner keep insisting they were invited guests…they know Barry from way back when he was still an Illinois Senator. Is Obama trying to throw the Secret Service under the bus?
Tareq and Michaele Salahi snapped the pic above with Obama at a “Rock The Vote” event on June 9, 2005 (also attended by John McCain…whom the Salahi’s also took a pic with). McCain won an award for his work on campaign finance reform”. “Just call me Funk Master McCain,” he told the audience of 1,000 in accepting his award. Obama won an award for “forming a multiracial coalition in winning his seat”.
Michaele Salahi is getting quite a ribbing in the press for lying about being a Redskins cheerleader, but Tareq is the more interesting of the two to me. He has ties to Palestinian terrorists.
Tareq is a board member of the ATFP – American Task Force on Palestine, which has quickly scrubbed it’s site of the fact. Thank the Lord for Google cache. Here’s the site with Tareq as a board member:
Today…no Tareq. Now why is that? And just who are the ATFP?
The ATFP has ties to Chicago, ties to Muslim radicals, ties to Hamas, and ties to Saudi Wahhabists. It is arguably the American wing of Hamas. The group’s co-founder is Rashid Khalidi, the guy purported to have helped finance Obama’s Harvard education and who was also instrumental in getting Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to speak at Columbia University.
During the Beruit war, Khalidi was a PLO spokesperson. After the war, he came back to teach at the University of Chicago. He is a virulent critic of Israel, and a strong supporter of Fatah terrorist Yassar Arafat. Obama has referred to Khalidi as someone who challenges his “own biases.”
Why do the same dubious tentacles seem to continually surround Obama? The fact that the ATFP is scrubbing information on Salahi from their website suggests possible damage control coordination between the ATFP and the White House. If the ATFP was acting independently, there would be no reason to scrub Salahi’s name from their site. It looks like Salahi was an invited guest to the dinner, that he was “outed” and the administration had to come up with a rational excuse for his presence.
Now the Salahis want to sell their story…they’re a little broke these days, but they still live VERY high on the hog. AND get to go to the Department of Defense!
The Secret Service has already apologized for the incident, but they may clear their names if the Salahis start singing… If someone with ties to the American wing of Hamas can get face to face with the President without the Secret Service realizing it…that is a majorsecurity lapse. However, if Obama’s people knowingly allowed Salahi in and are now throwing the Secret Service under the bus to cover themselves, that would be a major scandal.
Some in Congress are calling for an investigation… Something is VERY fishy in the White House.

Art, I think it was a terrible idea to let Terry Crowley post this as “admin.” Why can’t he post this under his own name? I think it hurts what balance, independence and credibility we have, for him to be allowed to regurgitate this scurrilous yet substanceless rightwing hit piece from a nutter blog under a neutral name like “admin.”
The reason I know it’s him is not just the questionable source but
1. The assumption that the President knows and remembers some flake just because they were in a group photo with him years ago (so supposedly he or somebody is lying about this);
2. added to the fantasy that this couple are anything more sinister than goofy-ass social climbers, creating some kind of guilt by association;
3. the assumption that there’s anything wrong with being a critic of Israel’s policies, or being acquainted with a critic of Israel’s policies;
4. the assumption that the President shouldn’t listen to anyone who “challenges his own biases” which are obviously more sympathetic to Israel’s policies than this Palestinian group’s would be – is it better for him to live in a bubble like Bush?
But the real clue that this was written by Terry (or possibly Larry or Rogue Elephant) is the gratuitous disrespectful referring to the President by his youthful nickname “Barry.”
If it really was Art who wrote this, that’s even worse news for the blog. It means that – given the growing infrequency of posts from Sean, Red, Jim, or Duane – that I am the only regular blogger here who is not a de facto right-wing partisan Republican.
who wrote this is beside the point-
this is good info
Let’s get some T-shirts made
this picture is a pretty good sight to banner around
LOL
Vern,
I agree with #2. Who cares who posted this? The fact is, Obama has some explaining to to.
It would appear he knew the Salahis, and now it turns out that Tareq Salahi has past ties to a terrorist organization.
Even Jimmy Carter recently apologized for his past stance on the Palestenians!
No wonder the mainstream media has dropped this story altogether…
This is shocking information. Thank you O.J. for once again printing what main stream outlets refuse to print because they are afraid they will lose ads. I’ll be back for Part II on this post if more info is available. Thanks again.
Vern. It is useful for me to look at other Juice blogger posts. If not I would have missed your guessing that I wrote this post. Sorry to tell you but it was not me.
The real issue is the content not the author.
Now that I have looked at the photo, assuming it has not been doctored, my response is that I, along with many others, have appeared in political photos with high level elected officials and candidates who do not know every person appearing in the photograph.
i.e. While Gary Bauer knows who I am does Steve Forbes?
What did I just read? Larry Gilbert is giving president Obama a pass? Not exactly, just not being so critical.
Vern is spot on…just because Obama appeared in a group photo with those losers doesn’t mean he “knows” them. This is typically the kind of guilt by association that Art engages in. Plus he’s the only one who ever says “Ruh-roh”. Plus he’s the only one who’s ever posted previously under “admin”
Why does it seem like Vern always regurgitates the Democrat talking points while the rest of the O.J. team speak for themselves? I’m I the only one who has noticed this trend? Vern is to O.J. what Jerbal is to Red- C. Both seem to be on the take.
Of course I was joking about Crowley writing this post; trying to shame Art who is really slumming it here with another meaningless attack pulled from a nutjob site.
(#8 is full of you-know-what by the way; it’s just that there have been nonstop unmerited attacks on Democrats here lately, and SOMEBODY needs to be a voice of reason and sanity around here. But whatever, my record of posts and comments here speaks for itself and my own independence.)
Again, what we have here – pretty much nothing.
I don’t even know if Obama claimed to have never met the Salahis or not, but the fact that they were in a group photo with him 4 years ago is a big so what, as even Brother Larry attests.
Then Art – well actually the far right site he came across yesterday and deemed worth sharing with us – makes a series of leaps from there to connect Obama with *gasp* Palestinians! And it all adds up to something “very FISHY,” nothing really substantial that can be pointed at, just a lot of “fishiness” that can be thrown at President “Barry” until he seems to smell bad.
I look forward to seeing some unmerited substanceless attacks on Republicans here; because I’ll stick up for them too. I’m not holding my breath though. This blog is lurching rightward and I’m not gonna be intimidated into keeping silent just because being forced to defend a few Democrats in a row makes me appear a blue Jerbal to some simple-minded readers.
Vern is the Blue Gerbil. Guess what? There’s a Cult of the Blue Gerbil!
Vern is not like Jerbal. Vern is a true believer. Jerbal is a paid shill.
It is true that the rest of our liberal bloggers have been somewhat MIA at times of late, but it is the holiday season. Even liberals enjoy Christmas – although Loretta Sanchez doesn’t seem to get Christmas at all! Then again, she is not very liberal either…
Vern is not like Jerbal. Vern is a true believer. Jerbal is a paid shill.
Well, there’s that. There’s also the fact that if I’m a “true believer” it’s not in the Democratic Party, but in progressive values, freedom, and the Constitution.
And also there’s the fact that lots of the comments I’ve been forced to make on this blog lately, for example on this post, have nothing to do with being any kind of true believer, but just in pointing out simple facts and logic and calling BS on BS. You’ve seen me do the same on behalf of Republicans and you’ll see it again.
Vern,
True dat. You’re our Jiminy Cricket! And look what happened to Pinnochio when he didn’t listen…
BTW, this is our top post today. Darn those pesky readers! They just love controversy…
So what if he met them before? It still doesn’t mean they were invited.
