State Senator Lou Correa’s “Taste of Orange County” fundraiser on Tuesday, Oct. 27, was a huge success. Comedian Paul Rodriguez drove down from the San Joaquin Valley to talk about the water crisis in his area, caused by the Delta Smelt. And he shared a lot of jokes with the audience. Some of those jokes made Correa blush!
There were a lot of local leaders at the fundraiser, which was held at the Delhi Center, in Santa Ana. They included Santa Ana Mayor Miguel Pulido and Assemblyman Jose Solorio. Solorio’s colleague, Assemblyman Hector De La Torre, drove down from Bellflower to support Correa and also to campaign for Insurance Commissioner.

Hey Art, Why don’t you change the name of this blog to “Lou Correa’s Juice” since you seem to be drinking it on a regular basis! Are you on staff with Lou now? Close buds with one of his staffers? Seems like every other post now is a puff press release from Correa. Can’t remember the last time I read anything here critical of old Can Do Lou!
#1,
I like Lou. He does a great job. If he does something bad I am sure that someone on my team will let him have it.
Art, didn’t you used to work for Ultra-Conservative Republican Rob Hurtt? How can you suck down Hurtt’s juice and now Correa’s? I don’t think those two have anything in common. Don’t you have any core beliefs? No offense Art, but it seems like you don’t really know what you believe and from the outside it seems your loyalty goes to whoever will be nice to you. Correct me if I’m wrong.
#3,
I am no longer a social conservative.
Still a fiscal conservative.
Said adios to the GOP awhile ago.
I am a Libertarian today.

Why Art? What happened in your life to change your beliefs? That’s quite a big change and doesn’t happen often. Why?
There are plenty of liberal Republicans that are Pro-Gay rights and Pro-Abortion (I assume those are the two issues you flipped on), why didn’t you just work with them?
#5,
I cannot belong to a party that hates Mexicans.
What about the GOP Lincoln/Juarez Center in Santa Ana and outreach to Latinos? Why do you say that Republicans hate Mexicans?
#7,
That is a good example of GOP tokenism.
All three of the GOP gubernatorial candidates are against another amnesty – and all three have engaged in diatribes against immigrants.
Latinos know that the GOP hates them.
But don’t get me wrong, the Dems suck too.
I value freedom and limited government – and civil rights. That is why I am a Libertarian.
So Artie, if I am Latino and I don’t believe in amnesty, do I hate Latinos. Perhaps, you small minded little man, I actually don’t belie e the policy is right for this county. Stoopid.
#9,
What is it about Latino bashers that makes them so damned illiterate? You can’t even spell stupid correctly yet you have the temerity to attempt to attach that perjorative to me? You are both shameless and uneducated – which is typical of most Republicans today.
BTW, President Reagan, the darling of conservatives, signed the last amnesty. He disagreed with you!
