California Senior Legislature Honors Senator Lou Correa as Legislator of the Year
SACRAMENTO, CA – The California Senior Legislature (CSL) this week announced Senator Lou Correa as the recipient of the Senator Henry Mello Award. This award is given by the CSL each year during its annual legislative session to a member of the Legislature for her or his “distinguished legislative service.”

Really? How would you know that?
I met a guy the other night who would have died if not for Lou. This man was in an ER, dying of a ruptured aorta, and they would not treat him as he was down on his luck.
A friend of his called Lou, who then called the hospital. Today this man is alive – and he will tell anyone who will listen that Lou saved his life.
Simply amazing.
Lou is popular because people know he cares – and unlike the Reeps in the OC he isn’t in this for the money and the power.
I agree with Michele.
If not for the money..why is Lou in politics? Could it be money AND power?
Who is raising his kids while he spends 5 days a week in Sacramento? Isn’t his wife a Doctor? She must be pretty busy too. Don’t you think it’s sad when rich people let nanny’s raise their kids? Just asking.
P.S. I voted for Lou and would vote for him again. I just think it’s tough on a family.
Lou lived up the street from me for several years, I know him both as a friend and my Senator.
He is one of the limited few elected officials I actually trust as being honest and caring for the people in his district.
We have disagreed and agreed on different issues, but he has always tried to represent to the best of his abilty the interests and wishes of the voters that elected him.
