Meg Whitman promises to roll back Arnold’s global warming law

Meg Whitman thinks Arnold sucks

“Meg Whitman, the former CEO of eBay who is running for governor in 2010, has promised that, if elected, she will immediately suspend the job-killing, economy-retarding Global Warming Solutions Act, Assembly Bill 32,” according to the O.C. Register.

That seems like a good idea.  This also means that Whitman’s first act as Governor will be to reverse the core of Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s legacy.

But is this a big enough issue to put Whitman over the top in the primary – and will it help her to defeat either Jerry Brown or Gavin Newsom?  Both of those Democrats are nutty about green issues.

And where does this put Whitman with respect to California voters?  Are these voters as nutty as most Democrats when it comes to the environment?

I think we all want to protect the environment, but should that mean killing jobs and making this state even more unfriendly to businesses?
