Flash! Obama Health Care Speech Ratings Flop. FOX as a non-carrier nearly double every other network.
The unofficial numbers for Obama’s Health Care Speech last night are:
President Obama’s Health Care speech had a combined 13.2 Household rating. Each represents one million people, roughly.
Compare that to Obama’s first address to a joint session of Congress back in February, when he had a 49 rating. The hard numbers will be coming in later this week, but its clear it didn’t have the reach of previous outings. Fewer and fewer are tuning in… they know it just doesnt pay to listen.
And yet, you apparently listened.
Problem is, you don’t hear.
Booooring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As usual, Terry is showing that he lives in an alternate universe.
Terry, you sound too desperate.
23 Million people watched. CNN polls says approval for Obama’s health care plan among those that watched went from 53% approval to 67%. If you drop down to the details he was also successful in debunking much of the b.s.
It sure sounds like an hour well spent to me.

The 23 million people watched is incredibly optimistic for the number of households. And mine were not ratings provided by state run media. But hey, everyone deserves their own version of reality. Oh, and Baxter, a sampling of 49 percent Democrats and 18 percent Republicans is not a real sample. The people who went from Approve to Strongly Approve were Democrats. Big shock there! Truther Nutters are always easily swayed!
Am I seriously arguing with people who think this speech made any difference? Fine. Where is the bill that does what Obama wants? When are the Democrats going to produce it? House bill 3200 sure doesn’t.
Back to the drawing board dudes!
…everyone deserves their own version of reality.”
Well god knows you have YOUR own peculiar version of it. So you can come down off your high horse any day now.
Nielsen is reporting 23,000,000 households, 32 million people. A 38.6% drop from his first address to a joint session. If he had earned a grade, I’d say he earned an F.
Terry,
“Oh, and Baxter, a sampling of 49 percent Democrats and 18 percent Republicans is not a real sample. The people who went from Approve to Strongly Approve were Democrats.”
This is the whole important point of the Republican failure.
Mis-imformation by Republicans in the form of Omabacare, birthers, socialism, Hitler ect, did not change Obama’s supporters. That was the strategy. IT FAILED.
Terry, most people would have guessed that Obama wouldn’t get as many viewers this time as he did six months ago. So your stats is hardly a surprise. The bigger question is whether or not the speech received positively from viewers and polls are showing yes. As far as ratings and viewers, you do know his speech will be replayed and talked about over and over again on various network, so the total viewers will be far larger.
Speaking of polls, during the election, at the end of every Republican debate, FOX news poll showed that Ron Paul won and the talking heads on FOX just laughed at it, and Republicans decided to go with Palin. Go figure.
hurray for Ron Paul!
Let’s talk about him
