Chicken Hawk Ed Royce was a big fan of George W. Bush
Useless Orange County CA Republican Congressman Ed Royce is hosting a Town Hall meeting today in Placentia, at the Placentia City Hall, located at 401 E. Chapman Avenue, at 1 pm.
Be sure to ask him why he voted to spend over $700 million to save illegal immigrant wild horses! Both Royce and Campbell voted to waste this money while hundreds of thousands of Americans struggle through the Bush Depression.
Honestly, can you ever remember Royce doing ANYTHING positive? All he does is help wastrels like Fullerton’s Dick Jones get elected.
UPDATE: Royce wrote a post over at the Red Klownty blog today advocating that we “get tough” with North Korea. What an ass! What do you want to do Ed, start another damn war? How do imbeciles like this get elected to Congress?
Amen. time for the city of Fullerton to wake up, and vote someone in who represents US, and not the Bible belt.
horray for ed royce one of the champs of fighting the war on ILLEGAL immigration WICH IS WHY YOU know who posted this against him .
Great turn out at the town hall meeting today. Hooray for Ed Royce!!!!!!
Art,
Ed Royce was one of a small group of politicians who had the guts to vote against the $750 BILLION bailout last year. That’s BILLIONS in blank checks. The money can barely be traced.
Check it out:

I don’t know enough about the horse bill to comment. It seems excessive. There must be more to it than what you are sharing.
I just saw this UNBELIEVABLE video of Loretta Sanchez’s Town Hall Meeting/Prayer Vigil. It shows her blatant disregard for the separation between church and state that the ACLU is always complaining about.

Secondly, it shows the shamelessness of the Catholic Church. I’m a Catholic. Their collaboration is PATHETIC and sacrilegious. They are simply trying to assuage their guilt for the priest abuse scandals and trying to move with their demographic. This isn’t MLK working with clergy to secure equal rights, equal access. This is a foolheaded alliance between people and institutions that want to maintain their positions of power.
We do need to address SERIOUS concern with regard to our health care in this country. Pandering and false promises will leave the overwhelming majority of us in worse shape than we are now.
Believe me, it there were even a trace of spirituality in this debate, I would have detected it. And I’m not talking about the FALSE piety of Bernard Law.
This is no Civil Rights movement. For most politicians, it’s all about “power and control” “more for me/less for you.” Martin Luther King was about changing hearts, changing attitudes, and finding salvation. It was no power grab. It was an appeal to the highest aspirations in all of us. The Church’s health care and immigration stances are mundane, temporal, and unabashedly political.
I speak Spanish and am married to a woman who is from Mexico. I occasionally listen to 690 AM “W-Radio” . The night before Gil Cedillo’s most recent elections, I heard some of the most racist comments I have heard in my life. He literally asked listeners to vote for him because he was the same color as them. I won’t repeat the words he used to describe himself and those who have the “same skin color”.
It’s irritating to hear so often in the media about the “Latino community” or the “African-American community.” A community is all about people who share goals and choose to protect one another and help make life easier for one another. It really has little to do with the color of your skin or your ethnic background. Is there a “White community?” Of course not, because the patronizing media and political parties recognize that not all “White” people think alike. “We” are allowed to define ourselves by our interests, priorities, views, and tastes.
Yet the media are comfortable talking about the “Latino community” because it’s easier for them to put people, such as my wife, into a box with people who may share her ethnic heritage, but not her worldview.
Loretta Sanchez seems to be guilty of the same thing. She touts herself as the “Latina” candidate, and seems to think she represents the interests of anyone with a Spanish surname, and the major media let her, and others like her, get away with it.
In the last election, she got about 86,000 votes. Gary Miller got about 106,000. Dana Rohrabacher – 107,000. Ed Royce- 145,000. And John Campbell got about 172,000.
These people can pray and make all of the phone calls they want, but Orange County is clearly against a “single-payer” health plan because it makes no sense.
If Martin Luther King, Jr. had used the same tactics, half-truths, lies, fear-mongering, personal attacks, and intimidation that those who are pushing the federal takeover of health care are, we would still be to this day one of the most racist, segregated countries in the world rather than the beacon for immigrants (legal and illegal) that we are.
Bottom line: if you’re going to merge church and state, make sure to include something spiritual.

Oops! Just saw your link on the left-hand column.
I called Sanchez’s office on Friday. They told me that she held her Town Hall meeting a few weeks ago because she knew she was going to be “out of the state”. Right! It was all about planning ahead.
laguna good post on here . we should always vote for the best person we see fit for the job . but some one on this site does not belive in your thinking its vote for the latino first and ask questions later . it was good that you pointed out what you heard on that radio station . might open some eyes here .
Get over the George Bush crap! You should be scared to death about the one liberals put into office now. Obama says what he means – he will change America and he means it!
Veronica, why are you so scared??
Please be speciific.
The Right Wing scares the bejeezus out of me. For the life of me, I cannot figure out why ordinary Americans vote Republican. You are shooting yourself in the foot! Don’t you get it????
I would suggest to any liberal or Democrat in O.C. that you get involved in the health care debate. Don’t listen to the hate and fear mongers from the Right found on Fox “News”, ie, Glenn Beck, etc. as they spread their lies. Find out the truth for yourself. Go to whitehouse.gov and read.
A good source of information can be found at 1150 a.m. radio.
Specifically, the Thom Hartmann show, Mon.-Fri. 9 am to 12 noon,
The Mike Malloy Show, 6 pm to 9 pm Mon – Friday, and The Ron Reagan Show, 3 pm to 6 pm Mon. – Fri.
Thanks, Mary.
I agree 100%.
I’m not familiar with those shows, but I do know that there is a lot of fear being peddled by both sides in this debate.
I hope we can continue this popular uprising – the political parties are huge and control lots of money.
Most of us can’t afford to go to $1,000 a plate fund-raisers.
Finally, the major media are paying attention to us for a change.
I heard on the Roger Hedgecock show (AM 600) that there are 45,000 registered lobbyists in Washington D.C. No wonder the politicians ignore our phone calls.
This debate is not about DEMOCRATS OR REPUBLICANS. For me, it’s about finding common sense, compassionate solutions to grave problems that affect nearly all of our families – children, parents, siblings, grandparents.
I don’t care who would be appointed to the proposed government health commission. Our national needs for COMMON SENSE and COMPASSION cannot be met by the horrific lot of egotistical, jaded, isolated, tone-deaf politicians that we are forced to send to Washington D.C.
I say “forced” because the candidates we have to choose from are already bought and sold in order for them to get on the ballot.
We sorely need a Gandhi or Martin Luther King to make us see the moral crisis of our nation. Our “leaders” are so immoral and unethical that they no longer are responsive to our basic calls for security.
I’m against HR 3200, but I’m also afraid the Republicans will block our chance to fix the problems with our health care system. Once again, the egos of the politicians are on of the greatest impediments to resolving our problems.
How does anyone ever find out when Useless Ed Royce holds a townhall meeting? He must be either afraid or ashamed because he doesn’t say anything on his website about meeting with constituents.
