This whole healthcare discussion sure has gotten confusing. Blue Dog Democrats. Yellers and Screamers showing up to disrupt town hall meetings. Constant email and blog disinformation. Instant rubuttals to the health care pending legislation. Where is this all coming from? Are ordinary Americans suddenly super-informed and ready to take to the streets over….. HEALTH CARE REFORM? Or is there something else afoot? Hmmm…. remember, when it doesn’t make a lot of sense, “just follow the money!” The health care lobby intends on using $110 million for advertising in the month of August alone! You think an industry that can afford to give its CEO’s BILLION DOLLAR golden handshakes, might have a HUGE financial stake in keeping the status quo of health care? Ya, think? 😉
But below all the shouting and angry confusion is a true desire to know just what is being shaped up in the form of a Health Care Reform Bill. There certainly are a good number of emails being circulated that attack specific pages and clauses of the bill being discussed. But are those claims ACCURATE AND TRUE? Enter the newly formed website, Please… Cut the Crap!!! which purports to deconstruct Industry Lobby lies that target the health insurance bill. Have a question about that nasty page number 25 you’ve heard so much about? Then go HERE and see an analysis of whether it should be of scary concern or not!
Some people like rebutting arguments point by point. It’s not really MY thing. But if you are one of those people who want to read it all and analyze it all, then you might want to include the Please… Cut the Crap!!! website on your list of reference tools.
The posted picture is very distracting; I cannot focus on your message. Could you please post more pictures? Thanks
And oh yeah, stop screaming and yelling people.
I disagree with the public option, but I still have not received or was offered any my payola from the insurance industry. Nor I have received my brooks brother’s suit to attend Congressman Joe Baca’s townhall meeting.
Hey AETNA/Cigna etc, I would like my 1000.00 payola please! I am underemployed and uninsured and would appreciate the money.
[/sarcasm]
Yellers and Screamers showing up to disrupt town hall meetings.
disrupt?? disrupt??
Are you on Crack! Have you seen what is happening here in California??
God help us, American’s really are dumbing down! and really i don’t say this with ease. My kids are US citizens!
Who the heck is going to pay for the health care of the constant flow of the poor?
Please explain to me if the insurance companies have not got a stake in this, why the hell are they not putting out massive campaigns against it??
I told you go to the insure the uninsured web site of orange country. Look who is supporting National Health Care. Blue Cross, SEIU, Hospitals
Assocations, “Why”. Because taxpayer money is endless and all the poor will be covered. Insurance companies come from companies like Wellpoint, “A BUSINESS”, who do you think will benefit from paying no health care costs to their employee’s??
Do you not think they don’t know how to make a buck!
The reason that health insurance is so high is because states allow it, no competition and all the foundations!!
Yes i have look at the bill, not read it all, but it makes plain sense to me that it will not only create a healthcare nightmare, it will cost everyone that works, their quality of life.
There are alot of losers in this country that would love for you to pay for their health care, and the slap in the face is that they will be in the front of the line, as a priority!
Wise up and respect the screamers for being able to voice their concerns, instead of being sheep like yourself!
Michelle, maybe you are a part of the dumbing down of this country. So dumb that you think screaming down someone is a good thing. Look, you have your view and I may or may not agree with you. But to attend a town hall meeting only to scream and yell is pathetic… and you want to talk about losers? Can we at least communicate like educated, civilized people? You’re free to ask questions and voice your concern, but lets give people a chance to explain themselves. Then we can determine whether or not we agree with them. And if we were to disagree, at least we know what the hell it is that we’re disagreeing with.
Mr. Pho,
If you know anything about yelling and screaming, then you would, i am sure agree with me that the people that were “yelling and Screaming’, were infact raising their voices in frustration, toward representives that is suppose to represent them and not the Government.
The American people are not stupit and i find it quite exciting that i can see the might of the American people again!
This country sir, is not the greatest county in the world, because men did not raise their voice due to civility. Infact one of the greatest American’s ever to live, “raised up his voice alot”, his name, Dr. King!
And i also think Dumb, also refers to not speaking!
So i disagree with you!
Michelle Quinn,
Your example of MLK “raising up his voice” is not really analogous to the townhall situation. MLK was giving speeches…it wasn’t a discussion. The townhall meetings, on the other hand, are settings designed to facilitate Q&As and the exchange ideas. To ask a question and then start railing and interrupting so that the person answering can’t respond is simply NOT civil discourse.
Organize a march and yell and scream all you want. A townhall meeting is not the same thing and not the right setting for that approach.
Lam,
That picture was one of the ones that turned up when I typed in “confusion” in google images. Glas you find it distracting!
I have to agree: taking over informational meetings by shouting out the speakers does little to produce any kind of constructive discussion.
Since when did Jerry Springer show type behavior become the “norm” for thinking people? What’s next? Bringing pies and fruit for food fights?
I see that the labor unions have announced plans to counter these teabagging birthers who are attending townhalls. Big labor will be opposed to these angry mobs. It could be a hot flashpoint summer if tempers remain high.
RV,
If the unions get involved in these shouting matches, all that will do is produce more heat than light. No…let’s let these rude people continue their uncivil behavior, and let’s let the details about who is organizing all of this continue to emerge.
Then maybe people will begin to understand that our government isn’t in control of healthcare reform…it’s the corporate fatcats and their shameless, soulless vampires on K Street that are shaping healthcare “reform”.

I really don’t understand your hate for corp’s that give million’s of people jobs. And if they are fat cats then they earned it!
The Government is the one designing this “Reform”,
not the Corp’s.
All I can say, if this goes through, in a couple of years, i will say, “I told you So”.
I would rather invite a CEO of a large corp in to my home, than the scumbags, heading the CTA or the SEIU. Unions are trying to run this country and it will not be a good thing!.
Your example of MLK “raising up his voice” is not really analogous to the townhall situation.
I think passion for a cause allows people to raiseup their voices anywhere!
The American people, are watching their country go down the tubes, bad public schools, illegal immigration out of control, governement spending, lack of personal responsibility being rewarded with entitlements..ect….
I really believe that a change will take place in this country and it will not be “Obama’s change”.
I also believe that their is a war between two groups of people in this country “The so called educated and the elilitist whites and the Working class, middle class whites”.
Just in the last 5 years i have seen a de
the last piece i mean’t to write:
Just in the last 5 years i have seen a real disconnect of the government toward its citizens!
“raised up his voice alot”, his name, Dr. King!”
Ahhh Michelle, Michelle, Michelle. Enough said!!
Don’t you understand Michelle? I or we may agree with your view on various issues. If you’re really upset with your government and you want to scream and yell, then write them a letter, an email, call them, stand at a corner and scream. But when you have meeting, where people are invited to come to present their case and to allow you to ask questions and voice your concern; screaming and yelling at them without giving them a chance to speak is just wrong. There is no way around it, it’s wrong, whether you’re a Republican or a Democrat. It’s uncivilized.
Now the idiots at the unions want to have their own people there to shout back. What the hell is wrong with these people?
Michelle Quinn,
Well by all means, ignore the kind of corporate behavior, as well as the toxically symbiotic relationship that exists between corporations and our government, that caused the current economic mess.
Please…cut the crap as “authoritative” website? You have to be kidding! It’s a hack, far-left smear machine.
“Gasbag Dennis Prager”
“Caribou Barbie”
Does that sound neutral and authoritative? Did you do ANY homework on the site? For instance, it is not “newly formed.” A simple check of website registry information shows Milton Shook has been blathering for over 2 years.
PUHLEEESE, blog-pimp an ideological fellow traveler if you like, but don’t pretend about what you are doing.
Hello Darleen,
Thanks for stopping by. What is YOUR take on Health care reform?
