The group you see is the Orange Country Community Congregation Organization. This is the Group i called out last week about why they are pushing so hard in orange Country for Illegal immigrants to be covered by health families, caloptima, but not Americans either black or white!
This is a Group that is very involved with pushing their poltical agenda with the Supervisors and Orange Country Health Countcil.
And your right I ask the same question, why are the churches pushing any agenda, with are local Government???

Silent is the key word I would suspect, If she had picked someone to lead the prayers, then you are promoting one belief over another. If that was the case I am sure you would have many Democrats objecting.

I loved that video – thanks for sharing it! I’d like to see more of our local reps on video answering questions and telling local folks what they are doing in Washington. Apparently Sanchez is the ONLY one of 6 local reps that will be voting for health care reform. That reminds me: Ed Royce and John Campbell need calls on Monday to tell them to quit being partisan hacks and get some ideas into that bill.
And despite the drama over a prayer- she was holding this meeting (nice and respectful audience, btw) in a CATHOLIC CHURCH. And the prayer was not the entire span of her presentation. It took up a small, respectful part of what was said.

OCCCO is a communities faith group. This group sponsored the event. Loretta was there to answer their member’s questions.
The event being faith oriented is not odd as the event sponsor is a faith communities group.
It was not a Sanchez town hall meeting as Crowley presents it. Pretty dishonest of Crowley to present it as if it was.
