Sarah Palin has quit again. This time she walked out on the Simi Valley Republican Women’s event at the Reagan Library, according to Politico.com. Even better – she quit via Facebook!
Did Palin realize that she wasn’t getting paid to speak this time? Or that only 900 of her fans would be there? Who knows… Here is the exit message her people posted at Facebook:
As repeatedly stated to several in the media over the last week, former Governor Sarah Palin is not committed to attend the Simi Valley Republican Women’s event at the Reagan Library and in fact is not attending the event. Neither the Governor’s state staff nor SarahPAC has ever committed to attending this event or speaking at this event, and even requested that the Governor’s name be removed from the invitation several weeks ago. The Governor has other work and commitments to take care of at that time. She looks forward to visiting her friends in California soon.
All event requests must be confirmed with Meghan Stapleton of SarahPAC. Additionally, all invitations bearing the Governor’s name must be approved by her attorney before proceeding.

Whoever advised him on SP as the choice of VP at least cannot continue to “advise” a sitting president – which in itself would be very scary and troubling. McCain looked a whole lot like sockpuppet material after falling for the SP choice as running mate.
I think that John McCain is now out of any kind of chance for POTUS. It would be nice to see him shoved out of office for his recklessness, as a bonus. We’ll have to see how it plays out for him.
