“Dissatisfaction with the GOP extends to within its own ranks. Among Republicans, 33% had an unfavorable impression of their own party. In contrast, 4% of Democrats had an unfavorable impression of their party,” according to a new poll cited by the U.S.A. Today.
And that is not all the bad news for the Republican Party.
From Bush’s inauguration in 2001 to Obama’s inauguration in 2009, Republicans lost significant support among nearly every major demographic group, according to a Gallup analysis — among men and women, Americans at all income levels, residents of every region and those ages 18-64.
The losses were particularly steep among those under 30, the rising Millennial generation. Support for the GOP among college graduates fell by about 10 percentage points. Surveys of voters as they left polling places also showed a significant decline among Hispanics, the nation’s fastest-growing ethnic group.
Republicans maintained support among seniors, conservatives and frequent churchgoers.
The lame GOP can’t even figure out who is going to speak for this dying party…

gongrats to art for his one million anti republican post . and thats just this week . with as many stories on this is he a closet rep .
This only goes to show that Republican voters have principals and they’re super-upset with Republican Office holders who don’t hold fast to their Republican Principals when voting.
To the contrary, Democrats already have the super-majority of the prison populations, peaceniks, homosexuals, welfare fraud recipients and anti-American activists (socialists & communists) in their ranks so of course satisfaction will be high with the socialist President and his cabinet of kooks.
The one fact Art leaves out is this: Republicans aren’t flocking to the Democrat Party; they’re going DTS in protest until the GOP ever gets its head out of its a** with compromising on proven, time-tested, Republican Principals. And in light of the Obamanation, Democrats aren’t really seeing any substantial growth in in their Party numbers.
How about Mark Sanford, Tim Coburn, Paul Ryan, John Campbell, or Devin Nunes for example? If people were leaving the Republican Party because they wanted their party to be more like the Democrats, they’d just become a Democrat, and elect them instead. The people who are dissatisfied and are leaving want principled members who stand for our party’s priniples to support real free market economics and policy, because that supports small businesses and real growth, opportunity and prosperity and that supports liberty and democracy. No straw man arguments please.
It isn’t one leader whose responsible for a loss of faith in our Party. It’s a lack of leadership on the part of so many, as if they believe the only way to stay in office is to go along to get along. That’s not leadership. Leadership is articulating powerful ideas that are based on our principles in such a way that people hear them, get them and are touched moved and inspired in the possiblity that leader is articulating.
Consultants sell defeat and compromise for their clients. Leaders for liberty, please lead.
Martha,
Thanks for visiting the Orange Juice! Unfortunately for the GOP, the names you noted aren’t exactly well known. That is part of the problem.
And there just are not many Republicans left in office in Sacramento. Most of the legislators now represent inland areas – not major metropolitan or coastal areas.
As for Latino voters, well they have left the building. And they are not coming back. Asking them to belong to a party that hates them is just a non starter…
see how art puts all republicans in the same boat. the party of hate. can we say that all dems are commi socialist . of course not . the reps lost their principals . lower taxes and less gov. things we dont have now . they will come back . and also ALL LATINOS dont think the same way art does .
#5,
Most Latinos ARE united against the Republican Party. The numbers don’t lie amigo. It did not have to be this way. This is what happens when a party’s leadership decides to hate Latinos. You reap what you sow…
so its either support illegal immigration or we will go to the other side . is that their thinking . you call these people haters but their are many latinos who dont support illegals . the dems want them for their votes . legal ones of course . and what have they done for them = NOTHING . they want them because the dems are the pary of big gov , entitlements , freebies so they want them .
#7,
You are throwing gas on the fire. That is EXACTLY the sort of rhetoric that has cost the GOP the Latino vote…and they won’t be back.
Even Ceasar Chavaz,is aganist Illegal Immigration. He know’s that a mulitude of Mexico’s poor living off welfare is not good for anyone in this country. Plus he believes as i do, its Mexico’s Government’s way of getting out of taking care of their own problem’s with the proverty within their country.
Immigrants come to the United States not because they want to, but because they need to!
He get’s it, why can’t you Art/other Art.
I am always suspious of people who are so pro-illegal immigration, they are either making money off it ie. Dr.Art the dentist (Medical King). Mr.Art P your making think Hmmmmm how is Mr. Pedroza making money off illegal immigrants????
I BET SOME HOW!!!
ME (SORRY)
