Most people have already received their voter booklet for the May 19th State Election Initiatives. Being that this is just a “Special Election”….put on by the State of California…..they are not budgeted for “Early Voting” locations….with the exception of the Santa Ana Registrar of Voters offices.
Having called the Registrar on Friday…..the nice person on the other end suggested that “The Registrar will be open 8AM to 5PM, Monday through Friday through May 19th, 2009. They give you your voting materials there and hand them directly in to the Registrar. For those of us who don’t like “Absentee” and also don’t like having to show up on any given Election Day….this is the perfect alternative.
For those that haven’t been to the Registrar’s Office…the location and web address is: www.oc.ca.gov

*Vote Early…and avoid the rush later……All “NO” except “F”… but that’s just our opinion.
Why a yes on “F”?
Red.
We voted NO on all of the six measures to send a message to Sacramento. In regards to 1F do we really need to have a ballot measure to stop our elected officials from giving themselves a raise when operating in the red?
Hopefully future Assembly Members and Senators will not reward themselves when they cannot even balance a budget.
That said I would like to rescind taxpayer TARP funds from going to those in the private sector such as Goldman Sachs which in turn dished it out to upper staff in the form of bonus’s.
That’s where oversight is surely needed.
Mom used to say: “You want me to slap you
across the face?”…..well, if we vote
“Yes on F”…it will be like that!
