Barack Obama has allowed the extremists of his party to completely abscond with the omnibus stimulus Spending Spree Bill. Just days after promising the American people that they would get 48 hours to review the bill online, the Democrats are so eager to get out of town and hide from this monstrosity, they are renegging on their promise.
Rep. John Culberson, TX claims the “stimulus” bill must be urgently voted on today — because Speaker Nancy Pelosi is leaving at 6:00 PM for an 8 day trip to Europe! Culberson made the charge on Houston’s KSEV radio.
Pelosi is hoping to lead a delegation to Europe; there’s a meeting with the Pope and an award from an Italian legislative group. Calls to Pelosi’s spokesman went unreturned.

Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-N.J.) predicted on Thursday that none of his Senate colleagues would “have the chance” to read the entire final version of the $790-billion stimulus bill before the bill comes up for a final vote in Congress.
“No, I don’t think anyone will have the chance…”
For Democrats, peace is the absence of opposition.
So now Democrat radicals don’t even care if they read a major bill that will actually cost $3.27 Trillion dollars. They have shown within a month of taking control of the legislative and executive branches that they are completely incapable of leading the country in a responsible and ethical manner. They are “what is good for me now” fools. They are driving every middle class voter and small business owner right out of the Democrat party.
Come on over folks! The water is fine!
I’m unhappy about that bill b/c someone removed the monetary caps that would restrict executive pay to $400k/yr.
Terry, that Youtube was so unbelievably slow. word. by. written. word. My dog could have read it faster
Sucks being the minority party, huh?
Good resource!!
The Stimulus Plan: A Detailed List of Spending
Congress released its compromise of the economic stimulus plan at 11 p.m. Thursday. The House approved the package Friday afternoon with a vote of 246 to 183. Want to know what’s in it? You could read the 1,071-page gorilla they’ve posted. Or you could read our chart below of the spending provisions.
(The tax cuts and other finance provisions aren’t in this chart yet, but are summarized here (PDF). We will be updating regularly as more details emerge.) And if you’d like some background, here’s our earlier chart comparing the differences between the House and Senate bills.

If the previous President, you know, the one from your party, had actually done the job he was elected to do, we wouldn’t have a recession. Where were you when Bush
So, President Obama does us all a favor by cleaning up the mess of the Bush recession.
#4.
You do realize government spending is controlled by the House of Representatives? Right?
The United States Constitution, Section 7 – Revenue Bills, Legislative Process, Presidential Veto
All bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills.
You really ought to give the Constitution of the United States and the Declaration of Independence a read once in a while…
Who controlled the economy the last several years?
In September 2003, Frank (that would be Barney Frank (D)), then the ranking Democrat on the Republican-led Financial Services Committee, opposed a Bush administration proposal for transferring oversight of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac from Congress and the Department of Housing and Urban Development to a new agency that would be created within the Treasury Department. The proposal reflected the administration’s belief that Congress “neither has the tools, nor the stature” for adequate oversight. Frank stated, “These two entities…are not facing any kind of financial crisis…. The more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the less we will see in terms of affordable housing.”
More partisan bull**** with nothing intelligent to say. Throwing rocks is easy.
The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution are partisan?
