You may have heard that the DEA arrested 755 people this week with “suspected ties to Mexican cartels, especially one out of the state of Sinaloa,” according to the O.C. Register.
“To date, Operation Xcellerator has led to the arrest of 755 individuals and the seizure of approximately $59.1 million in U.S. currency, more than 12,000 kilograms of cocaine, more than 16,000 pounds of marijuana, more than 1,200 pounds of methamphetamine, more than 8 kilograms of heroin, approximately 1.3 million pills of Ecstasy, more than $6.5 million in other assets, 149 vehicles, 3 aircraft, 3 maritime vessels and 169 weapons,” according to the DEA.
Here’s the rub, “the agency arrested 13 people with ties to the cartel in Orange County. Arrests were made in Irvine, Garden Grove, Fullerton and Santa Ana.”
Irvine? Orange County’s safest city? Looks like they have a drug problem too.
Imagine how much narcotics remain in our country? This surely is just the tip of the iceberg. And speaking of ice, it is very chilling to know that Mexican drug cartels have totally infiltrated our country.
When will President Obama revisit our national drug policy? It clearly is not working and now we are in big trouble.
I wonder how many gang bangers in Santa Ana are already working for various Mexican drug cartels?
Art..you really need to start having some conversations with those who live outside of Santa Ana as you will be shocked to find out how many problems South OC has related to drug sales and use. No one hears about all the problems; why? Is it because the ethnic makeup of the problem is other than ‘hispanic’? Who knows. ALL RACES are involved in working for the drug cartel…and not all of them are ‘gang bangers’. Quit banging the same ole tired drum and open your eyes. DRUGS, CARTELS AND CRIME HAS NO GANG AFFILIATION, CREED OR COLOR….IT DEVOURS ANYONE AND ANYTHING THAT GETS IN IT’S WAY…UNLESS YOU JOIN ALONG WITH THEM.
The punishment for dealing drugs is evidently
not harsh enough. Some countries have the death penalty. This may be too harsh.
However, if the sale of drugs leads to the death of someone, whether it be the user or some other victim, then the drug dealers (every one of them up the line to the ultimate supplier) should be arrested, tried and hopefully convicted of
second degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
there is two simple facts…costumers and suppliers
no costumers NO SUPPLIERS
those guys kill each others but in Mexico they don’t kill people in the market
Blame it all on our current president as if it’s his fault, lame.
