Now, I believe in the “freedom” to decide for yourself, or within your family, to proceed with an abortion procedure. But anyone with sensibilities is offended by the pro-abortion lobby’s attempts to portray abortion as nothing more than a medical procedure.

If there was an honest face to the side of the debate that claims to only want to “maintain a womans right to choose”, they would call this violent procedure what it is: DEATH BY CONVENIENCE.
I can confidently predict, gained from extensive knowledge of and contact with the Pro-Life community, that National Right to Life would shutter its doors for want of a single donor within weeks. There would be no more argument. Pro choice advocates would begin to be honest about what they advocate and pro life advocates would be able to say they can be “reasonable” in their disagreement with more reasonable adversaries. If you advocate abortion, you advocate death by convenience.
Is that tough to say? Let me help! I have all sorts of ideas! I can be your compatriot in your cause of newfound truthfulness!
All those pathetic citizens to whom our society is indifferent. The maimed and the mentally deficient to start. I would put all these people on the list for “death by convenience”. They can make ones life so “complicated” if you have to take care of them.
And the unproductive! Put them down too! You can’t even get unemployment benefits unless you can use a computer these days! Have you tried it? Tried faxing your documents in? HA! Try it! Ask an employee of the EDD. They dont even look at faxed Unemployment Applications. People walk out everyday who cant get help. We do nothing. Let’s just admit we can do better without them.

Just about everybody agrees that the taking of an innocent human life is wrong. Where Americans disagree is the point at which a developing life becomes one separate from the mother. A female gamete is a living cell with the potential to be a human, who’s life could be “saved” through the simple act of fertilization, but no one realistically calls this a human life deserving legal protection. Following the insertion of a half set of chromosomes into the egg from a male gamete, the egg becomes a zygote, and at that moment about 30% of Americans believe should acquire legal protection from any action by the woman, or any one else, from stopping its development. Over the weeks as the one-celled embryo divides, cells differentiate, tissues develop, organs begin to form, increasing numbers of Americans agree that at some point in this development there’s a separate life that society needs to protect. However, practically every citizen will agee that what happened to the baby delivered by Scyloria Williams is murder, and needs to be prosecuted as such.
By the time pregnancy is detectable in any way (I.e. hormone count high enough to pop on a urine test), the “organism” inside the womb is already a fetus with a complete set of unique identifying characteristics — chromosomes, DNA, blood type… It is biological fact that a new human has started to grow and develop. It is irrefutably its own person, albeit completely dependent on another human entity for a while.
What exactly is confusing about any of that? What makes it not human? So, until a certain step in development, would a cell sample issue that it is a mold, a fungus, a parakeet in there?
The non-human argument is beyond absurd, and determining based on sentience has some very disturbing implications for anyone cognitively impaired (autism, accident, illness like Alzheimer’s),..
There’s an old saying; “When a dog bites man that is not news, but when a man bites dog that is news”, the above story is news worthy because it IS unusual and rare.
I guess we can’t expect poor Mr. Crowley to grasp that, because like in another old saying; “against logic there is no armor like ignorance”.

We could get rid of all the felons. Why, then we wouldn’t have to pay to house them anymore. And if later it comes out that they were innocent after all, well at least we’re helping out the overpopulation problem.
A”developing life” is separate from the mother at conception. This is not radical thinking, but mere biology. the minute that the egg becomes fertilized the DNA is set and the child is completely different than it’s mother.

Also, do you punish your children if they misbehave? Their DNA is different from yours. What gives you the right to spank them, or put them in time out? You carried them for 9 months and gave birth to them.
Truth be told, I’d rather like to see the old exterminated, it’s not like they do anything but eat up medicare, medicaid and social security. Plus when they go out in public they smell like a dirty diaper.

Woman was made from the same dust Adam was, (It is still such in Jewish tradition, and that part was removed from the christian bible during the council of nicea.) But when Adam got mad because she wanted to have sex on top, and he thought that was too dominant a position for her, a woman, he hit her and she said God’s real name 3 times and ascended to heaven. Her name was Lilith. Next came Eve who was made from Adam’s rib so she would be submissive to him. But I am a Lilith, not an Eve. A man telling a woman that abortion is murder is like your fattest friend giving you weight loss advice. Like they’d know what it’s like to go through that.
This particular case IS murder. But a child is not separate from the mother at conception because without the mother, the baby will surely die and therefore what rights would either of them have? No. Once the baby is born, it is separate. Once it can live on its own outside of the mother’s body, it should have protection and rights.
But while it mooches off of me and steals my vitamins and makes me have to pee 50 million times a day, nope. It’s surely a part of me. I am not an apartment it can just squat in. My house, my rules. Comprende?
If the life of the mother is in danger, and an abortion will keep her alive, what then? Do you say no because it’s murder then let them BOTH die? Do you ruin the chance the mother could have of having OTHER children? I once had a man tell me he’d rather see the mother die so the child died naturally than abort it. I asked him how he could give abortion advice given he was…a man…and he looked surprised. Then I asked him if it would be better if I put on my hoop skirt, got back in the kitchen and didn’t vote.
Also, how many women and unborn children would DIE from unsafe back-alley, coat-hanger abortions if it were made illegal?
My point, and winning argument: There will ALWAYS be abortion. And there’s NOTHING you can do about it. :]
