“A 22-year-old teacher’s aide (at the SAUSD) was arraigned Wednesday on charges that he had unlawful sexual intercourse with a 16-year-old female student, prosecutors said,” according to the O.C. Register.
Is there something in the water coolers at the SAUSD? This sort of thing appears to be happening quite often.
The fellow in question, Jonathan Ulloa Ruano, of Santa Ana,says he did not do it. But the police say he did – on multiple occasions.
Of course there is NO mention of this on the SAUSD website. That figures.
Art you left out the best part.
Angela Burrell, a spokeswoman for Santa Ana Unified School District, said Ruano was a substitute instructional assistant until June. He has not worked for the district since then, she said.
So that is the districts way of saying he was not employed with the district from June and July when the sexual encounter happened? Talk about BS!
One needs to ask if this outlandish behavior is systemic within the district.
Not too long ago a middle school teacher was arrested and charged with engaging in inappropriate behavior with an underaged student. At the time the story broke the student was a student at Valley and I believe the teacher was assigned to Middle College. I do know that while the teacher was at Mendez, it was brought to the attention of the principal that there was something funny going on with this teacher and male students. It’s been speculated that Lucinda Clear did not make the effort to investigate the concerns of her staff. Too bad.
Golly gee, all of these stories have jogged my memory about past incidents.
Does anyone remember the time a local TV station filmed the inside of some SAUSD bathrooms and reported on the filth and disrepair of these facilities? Well, the district’s response was that the TV crew was not auhtorized to be on these school campuses.
The district is consistent in not accepting accountability.
