More hits were unleashed today via U.S. Mail against SAUSD Trustees Rob Richardson and Jose Hernandez. The hits were produced once more by Planned Parenthood, which has endorsed Irene Ibarra, Valerie Amezcua and Gloria Alvarado.
In related news, pajaritos report that Richardson and Hernandez are pressuring SAUSD administrator to donate $99 respectively to each of them. I have not been able to confirm this. I have also heard that Measure G money is being spent to pay custodians at the district. Again, I can’t corroborate that, but if it is true that is quite a bait and switch as the money was supposed to be spent fixing up our schools.
Below are the rest of the hit pieces:
I don’t think that Richarson and Hernandez will be able to respond through the mail, but Hernandez did deliver a new walk piece to my house today. In it he declared “Can an individual who has not completed their own education be trusted with your child’s education?” Considering that Hernandez graduated from the 187th rated law school in the U.S., out of a total of 200 rated law schools, he shouldn’t be raising this issue. Moreover, not many folks in our town have college educations in the first place. I am very confident that Ibarra, Amezcua and Alvarado can do the job.
Aww Geez, now I have to donate to Planned Parenthood again!
Can an illegal alien who violated our Country’s laws and took advantage of our education system be trusted to instill MORAL VALUES in our children?
Can we trust an illegal alien also took advantage of our Country’s amnesty program just to stay here and receive free government money to go to college?
Can we really trust an illegal alien who became a Immigration Lawyer because he already knew how to manipulate the system and help his Mexican countrymen stay here in in our Country?
The truth cannot be hidden forever.
Dr. Sheldon,
If you are of the people who consider themselves an “AMERICAN” simply because you were born in the U.S., then I suggest you look over you history notes and see that the U.S. was composed of and established by “illegal” immigrants! Unles you belong to the native tribes that were rightfully here from the gecko, you have no right to call anyone else an ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT!
While you are at it, you should ask YOUR parents for a copy of your family tree and start asking where they came from!
This mailer is BAD!
The English grammar is horrible, making it confusing and tough to understand.
And the Spanish translation even worse!
Did a third grader write it?
The message is on target – Do Not Vote for Richardson y Hernandez on Nov. 4
These two school board members have been bad for the district.
Retire Richardon y Hernandez Nov 4
Re: Jose Alfredo Hernandez
Those are loaded words judging a five year-old boy who came with his family to this city as have thousands of others. This family came here, became citizens and participated in our American education for both the children and the parents. They are full-fledged Americans in EVERY sense. If you condemn this, you condemn millions of other sincere, hardworking Americans. This man graduated from UCLA and then attended law school while serving this district as a substitute teacher during the days. He was honored and respected durring his law school training for his intelligence and ethics. He has behaved honestly and with integrity in his dealings with SAUSD issues. As an American, I have the right to trust whom I please, as does everyone. I not only find Hernandez’s attributes trustworthy, but also admirable. His story IS the story of America!
I am tired of the “This is a “Real” American”, “That is a Real American” crap. All those soundbites show is that you cannot think in anything approaching complex, reflective thought. If that is how you judge someone, you are an idiot. Period. End of Story. You should not be able to vote, because you are incapable of the consideration necessary to make a thoughtfully considered vote worth the sacrifice of those who died to secure it.
The fact is, we have had some VERY educated people running the country for the past 8 years and they have completely screwed it up. Want to vote for Bush and Cheney again?
This mail piece is not about the skin color or the education or either Jose Hernandez or Rob Richardson. It is about their abysmal record, how SAUSD under their policies and under their control have repeatedly violated the law, costing our school district MILLIONS of dollars schools under their watch. It is about the scandals that have rocked SAUSD while they controlled it, and about the fact that teachers were pressured by administration to lie top cover up the administration’s wrongdoing. No one lost their job for these atrocious, costly acts.
Hernandez and Richardson need to go because they have taken no responsibility for their abject failure in managing the district. Want more of the same fiscal mismanagement, lack of competent administration and loss of funding? The cast an irresponsible vote for Richardson and Hernandez, and let them continues to run the reeling SAUSD further into the ground.
And is they are re-elected, shame on you for condemning our children’s future so callously.
You have essentially the same choice here.
Then Vote Mac Cain for reform in the country and , vote OUT HERNANDEZ AND RICHARSON FROM SANTA ANA SCHOOL DISTRICT, both of them are part of “podrido’Pulido cabal!.
Truth Hurts, that was very well stated and I agree 100%.
The question for me is: Are you better off now than you were the last election? If so vote for the incumbents, if not vote for the challengers, with obvious exceptions.
For all the classified employees in SAUSD the choice is obvious, vote for anyone but the incumbants. I think its interesting that Planned Parenthood is endorsing the same candidates the classified employees have.
Is who better off? Is the purpose of the District to make its employees “better off?” Does anonymous honestly believe making employees better off is an indicator of administrative ethics? While malcontents all circle round and squawk and accuse, pushing for individual issues and benefits, it’s the Board and the Administration who look out for the best interests of the students in the district? Since our schools have been improving and our facilities are getting better, even in the face of horrendous and extremely painful budget reductions, perhaps it is time to focus efforts as a team — a community if you will. Throwing out knowledgeable, experienced leaders just because of the missteps of the previous federal administration is absurd.
As for the vulgar diatribe of Truth Hurts, perhaps a snack and a nap would help him or her. Simplistic accusations and name calling do not shed light on isssues which are far more difficult and complex than his or her ugly bashing reveals. There are many voters with many points of view. The uncomfortable truth hurts, you are no more just nor important than the next guy. Neither am I, but I would not call you names nor say you had no right to vote. Easy there, cowboy.
Dr. Sheldon:
First, somebody who comes here as a child, even illegally, is obviously not responsible for that. The parents are.
Second, the 1986 amnesty was done by Republicans, who often try to “forget” that when they praise Reagan. Oh, and btw, do you have a cellphone with a camera? The person who invented that, a French guy, also benefited from the 1986 amnesty… Look up Philipe Kahn…
Third, legal residents and US citizens obviously have the freedom to chose any profession they like.
Forth, all this doesn’t matter: all that matters here is: did this person do a good job on the school board? Does this person deserve to be re-elected?
And on these two questions, the answer clearly is no.
Joe,
Dr. Sheldon’s objective in attacking Hernandez’s Immigration background is to get the Hispanic sympathy and defensive vote. At the same time the critical blog thread is deflected and minimized.
The tactic is offensive to the Hispanic community as it is to the other objective readers.
Some of us like you and truth hurts are not fooled.
The problem with you Reconquistadors is that you do not recognize the fact that illegal immigration is the engine that brought our economy to a grinding halt. Now that our schools, health care, social services, and jobs have been sucked dry, the illegal alliens are going home with their American loot and setting up their haciendas in Mexico.
I will only vote for a candidate that was born on U.S. soil. I will not vote for an illegal alien that allegedly beats his wife. I’ve seen him on cable and watched his demeanor that suggests he is a very angry little man.
Santa Ana residents be very careful who you elect to school board.
“Fur Man”
1. Shut up about him “beating his wife” – Did you miss it, that was some other Jose Hernandez.
2. Your first paragraph is beneath contempt but also a fascinating study in paranoia and utter nonsense.
3. Save your breath anyway, this is the “Reconquistadores CONTRA Hernandez” site, doncha know?
Vern,
Thank you.
The fur man has a wild hair up his as_.
