Matt/Jubal Cunningham just can’t help himself. The Red County editor had to toss in his two cents after State Senator Lou Correa stuck to his guns by abstaining from voting on the state budget rather than break his pledge to not raise taxes. Here’s what Cunningham had to say about whether Correa will continue to honor his no new taxes pledge:
“If two Senate Reeps go wobbly and follow Schwarzenegger’s lead, the pressure on Lou to break his no-new-taxes pledge will grow even more intense. After all, he’ll be standing between the government hogs and more slop in the trough.”
Wow – talk about an unfortunate choice of words. Cunningham is one of the greedy O.C. Republicans who has admitted to taking “free” O.C. Fair concert tickets last year. And he ate the “free” gourmet food offered to the Fair Board members and their crooked friends. He was also seen at the Fair this year, with a “Willy Wonka” style “golden ticket” Fair pass hanging on a lanyard around his neck. He just can’t help himself!
If anyone is a greedy pig feeding at the public trough it is none other than Matt/Jubal Cunningham! He has NO room to admonish Correa! I suggest that Lou ignore him and his red-faced colleagues. Correa should do what he thinks is the right thing to do, period. Whether or not that pleases Cunningham and company is immaterial. They don’t live in Correa’s district and they don’t hail from his party. So who cares what they have to say?
The California Republicans wouldn’t be in this fix if they weren’t so beholden to the Talibani wing of their party, which Cunningam hails from. They also agreed to the gerrymandering scheme that protected their incumbents but made it almost impossible for them to win in swing districts – or in any of the blue districts. The Republicans are a permament minority in Sacramento for a reason.
My advice to my former Republican colleagues is to dump the Talibani platform and focus on the issues that Californians will be willing to embrace – fighting new taxes; fighting government growth, waste and corruption; and upholding our infrastructure and public safety. And they need to undo the gerrymandering scheme they agreed to. Failing to do this will doom the GOP in California, for generations.
Art
congrats on calling the situation for what it is.
Jubalito la Mentirosa is a real piece of work.
We havent heard from him because he probably was vetting Palin while passing out mooseburger star coupons in his starman suit while standing outside the Carlitos Junior in Juneau.
Hopefully the State Franchise Tax Board is on to this idiota and the rest of his Talibani brethren fanaticos over at Red-faced County.
No wonder he can cut and paste the newsarticles so well: Karcher probably had him cutting out gold mine ads Karcher had collected in his search for a get rich quick scheme. For the uninitiated, Karcher later was forced to sell off most of his ownership stake as a result of SEC charges of insider trading.
But its Sunday and I am on my way to Sunday Missa. I hear that Jabalito la Mentirosa (yes on purpose) is downtown in Santa Ana practicing his Spanish.
Congrats on an excellent post and an expose of a excellent example of an ethics challenged low life relicious fanatic who will rail about government spending but has no problem being the pig at the OCFB trough.
Im sure that he will get on OC and rant and rave. In anticipation, Jubalito, quit your complaining and go back to your sandbox with Urell
I’ve upset the Village Idiot of Santa Ana and the Cowardly Lion of Sacramento.
I’m hurt.
Try reading my post again, Art, and maybe you’ll actually understand it. I didn’t say Lou was at the trough. I said his vote stood between the government hogs who drive up government spending, and would rather make us pay more in taxes than reduce government spending.
Comparing that to taking some free tickets to a few concerts is moronic, but in character for you.
You also praised Correa for holding firm, although when I asked you last week if he should do so, you said it wasn’t for you to say. Maybe your buddy SCR bas been telling you that a tax hike is the way to deal with government overspending, because his hero the hollow, unprincipled Governor thinks so.
Leadership for Ward 3.
Matt/Jubal,
You know full well that I am no idiot. But you ARE a greedy pig! You have no room to talk about greed when you are as greedy as they come. How a guy who makes a six figure income can justify taking “free” Fair passes and concert tickets is beyond me.
As I stated before, what Correa decides to do is up to him. What you think simply does not matter!
You want to talk about leadership in Ward 3? Where was your boy Bustamante when the City Council voted on last week’s public employee pension spike? Oh right, he was in Mexico. Talk about a lack of leadership! You don’t go on vacation when an issue that important is on the agenda. Our city is $28 million in debt and Carlos wasn’t there to vote no on the pension spike. That is a LACK of leadership Matt!
But what do YOU know about leadership? You think ripping off the taxpayers by taking those Fair passes and concert tickets and eating the “free” gourmet food is hunky dory! Not it’s not Matt – and the more you argue otherwise the worse it looks for you!
To All:
Notice that Jubalito la Mentirosa does not address his consumption at the OCFD trough for free tickets from his ethically challenged compadres on the OCF Board.
As the old adage goes, birds of a feather flock together.
Jabalito la Mentirosa again raises the tired old Grover Norguist inspired tirade of government overspending. Notice that there is no advanced thinking by Jabalito to point out examples of such overspending.
Its more of the same thinking from the Talibani wing of the Republican party. We will see what influence the Talibani wing has on the Republican Caucus this week (with the Nordquist inspired no new tax pledge hung around their collective throats less Niello) as the Reep Caucus proposes its version of the State Budget.
But the Reep budget is not the subject here; Jubalito la Mentirosa is.
From what Sarah Palin thinks, your behavior is unacceptable and part of the good ol boy network that is ethically and morally challenged. Her words.
Are you saying she is wrong and your behavior is acceptable and, in the larger scheme of things, no big deal?
That’s Ok-Jubalito, we readily know your answer. Make sure that when you go to Mass today, that you wear your clean Urell cassock.
Jubalito la Mentirosa said:
“I’ve upset the Village Idiot of Santa Ana and the Cowardly Lion of Sacramento.”
Let me be blunt: You havent upset me nor have you upset Art. The reason you dont upset us is that we get to use you as a poster kiddie, along with Carona and your pal the Fleshman, of piglets at the trough of the public sector.
You are one flea on the ass of the elephant. The problem is that there are many fleas like you on the elephant’s ass.
It’s time for a spray of flea repellant to combat the collective Talibani wing fanaticos of the GOP.
Have a good sunday-
Centrist Republicans for Obama/Biden
Wow! I don’t blame Jubal for showing up and posting all heated and frothy – what an unflattering depiction, Art!
How many tickets did you get to use this summer, Matt? Probably less than in the past, right?
Matt “Jubal” Cunningham of the Red-faced Blog responds: “OINK! Oink oink oink oink. Oink, oink oink! (snort) OINK!”
Art,
Without taking any side on this issue, may I suggest that using the picture such as in this post lead people to believe that you are no better than this guy or worse, busty? You really should think about taking the higher road…..That would show the leadership that you claim to be bringing to ward 3.
Red Vixen wrote “Wow! I don’t blame Jubal for showing up and posting all heated and frothy – what an unflattering depiction, Art!”
RV, thats how Jubalito la Mentirosa gets when he wears his Urell cassock in his sandbox. The collar around his neck closes off the circulation to his peabrain. It causes him to get crazy.
Word has it he got this way when vetting Palin and eating a moosieburger in Juneau.
But at least Art uses the correct pic, dontcha think? I mean, its not a pic of Jonny Fleshman or Mikey Schroeder, right?
And you all wonder why this site and Art (all of you) are the laughing stock of the blog world. Class is something sorely lacking here, along with a little thing called truth.
Art, you, Sarah, Larry et al have turned into just another senseless addition to the lonely silliness of cable access. Yes, you have a forum, but you will never be important to anyone aside from those poor fringe souls who call you leaders.
You have no concept of how much people laugh at all of you.
And you sadly never will…
#8,
Good point. His picture is too disgusting to look at so I replaced him with a pig. Not much difference though…
#10,
The truth? Matt himself has admitted to taking those tickets and eating the “free” gourmet food. So what are you complaining about?
I could care less if Matt and his red-faced friends are laughing at us. Their greed speaks for itself. They can say they are conservatives all they want – but if it were true they would not be abusing public resources like this, and you know it!
Art,
Much better picture.
Thanks!
Art:
Amen brother!!
Class and ethical behavior start from day one of ones existance. Either you believe in it and live it every day or you dont.
For all of Jubalito’s ranting here, he doesnt live it. Enough said.

‘From what Sarah Palin thinks, your behavior is unacceptable and part of the good ol boy network that is ethically and morally challenged. Her words.‘
Ahh… invoking Palin already? I thought you were an Obama/Biden guy?! I’m kidding of course.
OC (logicless) Spock –
‘You have no concept of how much people laugh at all of you. And you sadly never will…‘
What we don’t know won’t hurt us. Besides, if those who allegedly laugh at us are too scared to come out of the shadows, why should anyone else care what they supposedly think?
Use your head. There is no factual evidence to prove your point. If I’m mistaken, please prove me wrong.

“Jubalito la Mentirosa ”
Defintion, please? 😉
#10 OC Spock
You seem so bitter and disappointed. What is it that you want Art to do?
Why show up at a party and complain about the appetizers? Why? Por Que?
Red –
Methinks ‘OC Spock’ is Paul Lucas. Apparently, he’s the new Fiala.
SMS
Sarah,
Well, that poster comes off as sad and empty. I cannot imagine any mature adult who would not just refuse to read a BLOG that they found irritating. How hard is it to just stop reading?
BTW, Paul Lucas comes off as a fairly poor writer. He’s the head of some group, so I really would have thought he’d be more polished – even on this humble blog. I guess politics isn’t so much about smooth communication – it must be more about who can shout and intimidate best?
Red –
No, I have a feeling there’s something more sinister going on. If Paul was merely trying to intimidate people, why would he go after me? I’m probably the least likely to be intimidated around here, so if that’s his plan I certainly have to question its execution. Stay tuned, folks.
SMS
Sinister?
Well, the poster could be another woman. You know how they can be sometimes… not letting something go, envy, pettiness etc…
Or Lucas could just enjoy being a bully. Some folks like to torment others.
Who knows?
RV
Matt Cunningham uses the by line of “Jubal”
I call him Jubalito as to say little Jubal
La mentirosa is the female (versus Male-el mentiroso) translation of liar
SCR
*ahem* ‘Little Jubal’ in the feminine is ‘Jubalit(a).’ 😛
Your comment makes me feel a little better about the fact that Matt (Jubal) has left a disgusting slam against my sexuality and some related libelous comments on his site in an article about Paul Lucas.
When you can’t win, slam the other guy, or girl as the case may be.
SMS
Little Lying Jubal….
Not very flattering. I am hoping he stops by and at least lets us all know what Fair venues he was able to attend. 😉

you are right jubalito is masculine but i combine it with “la mentirosa”…..its appropriate for him
scr
RV
yes not very flattering for jubalito la mentirosa….but very accurate for him

You know full well that I am no idiot.
Oh that’s right. I forgot you had a really high GPA in high school and good SATs. What were they again?
As for the rest of Art’s tiny crew of sycophants: your time might be better spent walking precincts for Art. It might help reduce his margin of defeat in November.
Enjoy your Labor Day weekend!
Matt/Jubal,
You also forgot I have an MBA. Do you?
Don’t worry about my campaign. My signs are going up tonight and the campaign is coming along nicely. We won’t have all the money that your boy Carlos will, but I suspect he won’t be able to raise what he did last time.
Go ahead and underestimate me…you always have. Why should that change now?
You also forgot I have an MBA. Do you?
So what? That doesn’t make you any less of an idiot.
Go ahead and underestimate me…you always have.
And with good reason.
I look forward to watching your candidacy go down in well-deserved flames.
Adios!
Matt/Jubal,
This must be deja vu for you. I remember when you thought Bustamante was going to beat Janet Nguyen. That didn’t work out for either of you, did it?
Less talking, more walking, Art!
Matt/Jubal,
Labor Day weekend is a holiday weekend – not good for walking. But we are putting up signs this weekend and finalizing our walk pieces. And we recently launched our email newsletters.
Walking will begin in earnest next weekend.
BTW, has your boy Bustamante returned from hiding out in Mexico yet? Maybe you need to advise him to get going with his campaign. He has been MIA for weeks.
Art
and what was the institute of higher learning that Jubalito attended? Oh yes, George Washington University in DC. Its commonly referred to as the next step up from the District of Columbia Community College. Kind of like an undergraduate version of Western State College of Law.
But you havent commented on RVs question of how many concerts you and the Jubalito brood attended for free on the public dime?
That’s right, I forgot. You not paying for the tickets and the food for the brood doesnt create a problem since the OCFB has the full faith and credit of the state to cover its operating cost shortfall. And your bill is covered by the California taxpayer….
Hmmmmm………sounds like Animal Farm economics….You recall…..where the pigs say the all the animals are equal but some (the pigs) are more equal than others (the rest of the animals)……….How appropriate……….Say, when you get awarded the the Golden Busty Award for 2008, will the Jubalito crowd show up?
Im sure that, for you, Art will have it engraved in Spanish and make his comments as well in Spanish so that the Latino community can get a better sense of Red-Faced County and what its all about.
Perhaps you can make your acceptance comments in Spanish???
Centrist Republicans for Obama/Biden
watching the McCain/Palin trainwreck in October
I just found out that Jubalito and his amigos fanaticos will play engineer and conductor and collect the tickets on the McCain train…..Palin will be serving mooseburgers in the restaurant car. Amtrak has announced that the McCain train is sold out with its final destination being the VP debate……
Red faced County will be selling tickets on their website or can be contacted through Jubalito at his email address.
My signs are going up tonight
Signs! Wow.
And we recently launched our email newsletters.
Double wow! Make sure to include the OJ URL, so they can read all the way-out things you post.
Jubalito la Mentirosa returns…..Its like watching a cartoon where the mouse is addicted to the cheese.
Cant stay away can you Jubalito???
SCR, you are being absorbed by the double digit IQ brain of Art. If you want to compare George Washington University to DeVry, feel free.
I find it interesting the total jealously that seems to come from this blog. Funny, there seems to be more people who post to this blog who are DEPENDENT on government and its services than the other way around.
And now, back to your happy place…
OCspock:
I believe in personal ethics and responsibility.
The theme of this thread is an ethically challenged individual who, by HIS OWN ADMISSION, stated that he accepted free tickets and food, for himself and his family from his friends (and I wont demean the Republican label by attaching it to him or his friends) and associates on the Orange County Fair Board.
You can rant and rave all you want about Art. But he has exercised personal responsibility to challenge an incumbent council member who, like Jubalito, is ethically challenged.
What you interpret as jealousy, is outrage and hypocrisy at the behavior of these clowns.
Go and read George Orwell’s Animal Farm. Pay particular attention to the Pigs and their mindset. Remember: after leading the revolution of the animals, the Pigs then said to the rest:
We are all equal. However, as time passed, the Pigs rewarded themselves with certain things that caused the rest of the animals to question the beauty of the revolution. For the Pigs then began to say “we are all equal, but some are more equal than others.”
I can honestly say that, had I been sitting on the Fair Board, I would have begun to restrict the number of tickets given to Board members in order to prevent the situation that has since occurred. Failing that, I would have motioned that board members pay for their tickets.
While hindsight is 20-20, ethical behavior is not.
It is either inculcated from an early age, or it is not. It is not generated thru osmosis, as Jubalito has stated that he thinks he can learn spanish, but from a sense of ethical behavior from Day 1.
I have been on commissions where such perquisites were a benefit of serving on the commission. I have always paid for mine or declined them outright.
I suspect that you will have difficulty understanding this thinking. If you are a visual person, watch online the Bill Moyers Journal piece entitled Capital Crimes. While it clearly focuses on the mindset and thinking of such notables as Tom DeLay, Jack Abramoff, Grover Norquist, Ralph Reed, and their associates, it presents an inset into the mindset of Jubalito, Jeff Flint, Jon Fleischmann, Mike Carona, et al,
the common thread being their perception that they are more equal than others and that their religiosity has ordained them to be the protector of society.
While they will not admit to it, this society, as complex as it is, now sees thru the religious mumbo jumbo of Jubalito and the Capital Resource Institute (Karen England/Meredith Turney et al). While you are entitled to disagree with me, the numbers prove my point:
Proposition 8, the poster proposition for the rightist religious fanatics such as Jubalito and Flint and the religious rightists (just look at the legislators on the the Capital Resource Institute Board) is headed to a major defeat here in California.
While you religious fanatics let up? I personally doubt it. But the defeat of Prop 8 will serve as a rallying point for Californians to face headon future efforts by the religious fanatics in this state to superimpose their self-created value structure on the rest of California society.
And California will be a happy place……
By the way OCSpoc, I do like your comparison of GWU to DeVry. I have compared GWU (and yes I did live in DC) to CSUF in the past.
But your analogy is much better. And better illustrative of Jubalito.
SCR says: “Centrist Republicans for Obama/Biden”
Schwarzenegger Centrist (something) – drop the Republican part of this moniker. It no way applies.
Republicans no longer want to be associated with arnold (could he run again he would not be reelected)- and certainly do not desire to be associated with a person of your sort.
Turn in your Republican badge.
