The Real Orange County Political Blog Rankings

Alas, Red County could not hang on to the top spot this week.  The Orange Juice is back on top of the rankings – and it’s not close!  We scooped the entire O.C. blogosphere and the MSM this week with our coverage of the DPOC’s endorsements – and the big news that Santa Ana Mayor Miguel Pulido failed to get the DPOC’s endorsement.  And we were the first O.C. blog to reveal that John McCain had picked Sarah Palin as his runningmate.  That might explain our big numbers this week.

Here are the latest Orange County political blog rankings, according to the globally recognized website readership data company, Alexa.com, which is owned and managed by Amazon.com:

  1. The Orange Juice Blog – Global Ranking: 169,261
  2. Red County – Global Ranking:308,260
  3. Flash Report – Global Ranking:402,376
  4. The Liberal OC – Global Ranking: 473,638
  5. John Seiler’s Blog – Global Ranking: 536,452
  6. Bolsavik – Global Ranking:575,813
  7. The Centrist OC – Global Ranking: 906,391
  8. Irvine Tattler – Global Ranking: 1,902,042
  9. La Naranja – Global Ranking:2,232,214
  10. Powder Blue Report – Global Ranking:2,436,198
  11. Dissent the Blog – Global Ranking:3,773,893
  12. Greater Orange News Report – Global Ranking: 4,272,596

The local red-faced blogs, Red County and Flash Report, are holding their own this week, with the Liberal OC coming in at the fourth spot.  While the blue folks at the Liberal OC did a fine job of covering the Denver Democratic National Convention, they failed to provide any coverage of the DPOC’s endorsements.  No bueno!

Bolsavik slipped a bit too, while John Seiler’s blog continues to pick up steam, rounding out our top five.  Keep an eye on our Spanish language counterpart, La Naranja.   They have vaulted past several blogs that have been around for a long time.
