It is bad enough when Orange County political candidates take money from Ware Disposal, but judicial candidate Debra Carrillo (see picture on left) has really stepped in it. According to a flier on the Democratic Party of Orange County’s website, Carrillo’s upcoming fundraiser is HOSTED by Ware Disposal, and its sister company, Madison Materials. Not good!
If you have not been keeping track, Ware is under investigation by the City of Santa Ana for various problems at its location in the Logan Neighborhood of Santa Ana. Why would a judicial candidate want to be associated with Ware Disposal?
Another oddity with regard to Carrillo is that she is supported by a slew of local GOP officials, but her fundraiser is being touted on the DPOC website. What gives? Why are these Reeps joining with Dems to support this candidate? We have seen this also with the bipartisan support for DTS judicial candidate Nho Trong Nguyen.
And look at the crooked Dem who is supporting Carrillo – Orange County’s worst Mayor, Miguel Pulido. He is joined by Assemblymember Jose Solorio and Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez in supporting Carrillo, who is not a Latina from what I understand. I believe she married a Hispanic fellow.
There are several other candidates for the seat Carrillo is running for, including Westminster Councilman Kermit Marsh, who is a Republican. Marsh is having a fundraiser on the same night that Carrillo is having hers. See the graphic below for details.
I have also enclosed Marsh’ candidate statement below.
Other candidates for this judicial seat include Mike Flory and K.C. Jones. You can read their candidate’s statements by clicking on their names. Click here to read Carrillo’s statement.
Marsh is obviously supported by the OC GOP machine. I don’t know much about Flory or Jones. But I know I won’t be voting for Carrillo!
This could be Ware’s “Get Out of Jail Free Card.”
Bulletin – Judy Ware is glad to bring another “happy stinko de mayo” to Logan residents.
Looks like Debra Carrillo and your girl Janet have something in common then.
I wonder if Debra took money from A. Patrick Munoz too. Your girl Janet did.
Not a word of that on the OJ.
Hmmmmm???? I wonder why????
Art, Please give us your unfiltered take on Marsh. Most of us don’t know him. Are you endorsing him?
As long as public needs junk mail to read garbage about the candidates there will be need for disposal companies.
It is perfect recycling.
First the Ware generates junk mail and pays for it and then the Ware collects junk mail and gets paid for it.
Do you have any solution Mr. Pedroza?
Art, Did Janet really take $$$ from Ware Disposal lawyer Patrick Munoz? Fess up Art….
To anon no. 4
Agreed, we need disposal companies. But we do NOT need them in residential neighborhoods.
The solution is to first deny Ware the Conditional Use Permits which they are going to ask for in an attempt to legitamize their use of residential zoned property for their illegal, nasty and dangerous industrial operations.
And then for the City attorney to file criminal charges against Ware’s illegal operations in Logan Barrio.
#2,
Janet did accept a check from Judy Ware. The contribution from Munoz was not cash.
I asked Janet to give Ware her money back. She said that would open a can of worms.
Carrillo, on the other hand, is relying on Ware to host her fundraiser committee!
By the way Sean, why aren’t you upset that allies, Miguel Pulido, Vince Sarmiento and Claudia Alvarez have all taken money from Ware?
And didn’t Measure D, which was fronted by Sal Tinajero, Pulido and Alvarez, take over 40K from Ware? When will you be writing about THAT?
Art, Please answer #3 about you take on Mr. Marsh???
#8,
Sorry. I was out at the library.
At any rate, I like Kermit. Yes, he is a partisan Republican, but I have always found him to be a straight-shooter.
The knock on Kermit, that you will hear from some quarters, is that he is full of himself. But most lawyers are. They need a strong ego in order to do what they do.
That said, I have never known Kermit to be anything but fair. I do not question his integrity.
I will look further into the other candidates, Flory and Jones, but I certainly WILL NOT be voting for Carrillo. Right now Kermit has my vote.
Art can you elaborate on Janet
