For $75 you can hear what Santa Ana Mayor Miguel Pulido has to say

Miguel Pulido, the Ghostly Mayor of Santa Ana

It is often said of Santa Ana Mayor Miguel Pulido that he is the Invisible Mayor. But now you can see him and here what he thinks for $75. That’s right. Hearing Pulido’s “State of the City” address is not free. You have to pay through the nose to hear his B.S. In fact, for those that make minimum wage, it will take more than a day’s wages to pay to see Pulido blather about how great he is.

Here is what you WON’T hear about at Pulido’s “State of the City” address:

  • Our ongoing gang war, and the crime and violence that comes with it.
  • Our out of control graffiti problem.
  • The water rate increase that Pulido and our city manager, Dave Ream, pushed through in the last year.
  • The awful condition of our streets…and the fact that Pulido has directed so much spending to his ritzy Floral Park neighborhood.
  • The regional 60% sewage rate increase that Councilman Sal Tinajero pushed through.
  • The fact that Pulido and company are trying to raise our taxes yet again via the fraudulent SAUSD Measure G bond measure/tax increase.
  • The mess at SAUSD, where Pulido’s handpicked school board majority presides over a 60% dropout rate.
  • The sad rate of sales at the overpriced CityPlace condo development, where after two years they have only managed to sell half their condos…and Mother’s Market STILL is not open.
  • The fact that Santa Ana is #1 in Orange County…in home foreclosures.

Yes, I am sure Pulido will find something to talk about, but his speech won’t even remotely touch on the harsh reality that is Santa Ana.

If you are dumb enough to fork over $75 to hear Pulido spin away, here are the details about his 2008 State of the City address:
