This year’s contest between Supervisor Janet Nguyen and Garden Grove Council Woman Dina Nguyen is not the only one between two Nguyens. Judge Nho Trong Nyugen (pictured at right) is being challenged by attorney Timothy Sy Nguyen.
According to Red County, Judge Nguyen was appointed by Governor Gray Davis. He recently changed his party registration to Decline to State. I believe he was endorsed last week by the OC GOP, which is weird as he is not a Republican.
Timothy Sy Nguyen (picutred at left) on the other hand IS a Democrat. And he is a trial lawyer, just like most of the guys who fund the DPOC.
Here is the weird part – Judge Nguyen is getting massive support from the O.C. Democrats! Check out this information I received about a fundraiser being held for him at the home of Santa Ana Councilman Vince Sarmiento (another Democrat):
