I’d like to say that if you are looking for an intelligent, honest, hardworking person for Governor you should look at and vote for Jack O’Connell. I’ve known Jack for more than 15 years of his public service and believe him to be the best person for any public service job. The kind of person any of us would want to be there. Good Luck Jack!

On the Gerry Brown stuff, thank goodness he DIDN’T build more freeways. If you have ever studied transportation theory, you will know that the freeways will just fill up to capacity regardless of whatever other transportation systems are in place or no matter how wide you make the freeways – witness the 22-freeway.
You have a lot to learn both personally and professionally.

The point is, the Dems keep preaching that they are the minority party, but all I see is 7 or 8 white guys who want to be Gov.
As I pointed out, even the Reeps have a female candidate, in addition to THEIR white guy, Poizner. Are you telling me the Dems have NO women candidates? What is up with that?
The point about building freeways in the Brown era was back then you had open spaces to do so. Now you don’t. The opportunity was lost. You cannot put that genie back in the bottle.

Are you joking? The slowdown at the junction of the 22 and the 5 still sucks, but come on! If you don’t think that road if so much more convenient overall than it was 3 years ago then I’m afraid you’re out of your mind!
However, I do also think that widening the 5 between Beach Blvd and Commerce should have been a higher priority as it is a main corridor between OC and LA and there is already ramp construction in that area.
And what ever happened to double decker freeways? Back east many bridges have that configuration, so why not do the same with freeways?
I mean we’ve already discovered the immeasurable value of flyover ramps in places like the ‘Orange Crush,’ so why not flyover freeways?
