Folks. There is more to be concerned about than the ongoing primary election

While we await the outcome of the Democratic primary election there is an issue that couldn’t care less what party you are registered with, how powerful you are or the color of your skin. It’s the killer disease named cancer. The question. Every day we read about the war on terror. However, what are we doing in this fight?

For Immediate Release

Goldie Film Award recipient and preeminent Independent News programming
for the Web; Cutting Edge – a talk show proudly announces the release of their latest program entitled: “What War on Cancer?” with Devra Lee Davis, Ph.D., MPH. Professor Davis is currently Director, Center for Environmental Oncology, University of Pittsburg Cancer Institute. She has authored 170 scientific publications and has written several books including her most recent entitled “the Secret History of the War on Cancer.”

As our recent Cutting Edge focus has been on the topic of health and life extension this program is one that we should all view and recommend to our family and friends.

During our interview of Professor Davis we explore areas not covered in her books including her being appointed by former president Bill Clinton to serve, from 1994 to 1999, on the Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board where her eyes were opened to the inside game of politics as she fought for funding and support from members of our Senate. She almost lost her life in 1984 to a serious reaction from the drug Zomax.

Note: I have read that Zomax killed 14 people before the FDA began advising doctors about possible allergic reactions. Although aware of the side effects J & J sold $100 million dollars of this drug before they stopped US sales.

Professor Davis tells us that there is a lot of misunderstanding about our hereditary genes. While many feel that cancer is in our genes Devra argues that “most cancer is not born, it is made.”

One area she covers poses the question. Why are there fewer toxic chemicals in European products? Without divulging more of the free flowing discussion let me simply state that she addresses a wide spectrum of topics, each related to cancer.

While we have 10 million cancer survivors in the United States today listen how she makes the case that “we are not spending money properly in fighting the war against cancer” which is “now costing Americans $100 billion dollars” annually.

Folks. This is deadly topic. The American Cancer Society projects 565,650 Americans will die from cancer this year including 40,480 females from breast cancer.
