Here’s an interesting chisme…a pajarito tells me that there are people talking to Santa Ana Councilman David Benavides about running against O.C. Supervisor Janet Nguyen. Apparently Santa Ana Councilwoman Claudia Alvarez is content to run for her Council seat again.
The first thing that came to mind when I heard this was “Bwahahahahahahahah!” I mean, Benapuppet? For Supervisor? Are you kidding me? Of course the poor guy has been trying, for the last year, to get the hell out of the mortgage industry. Can’t blame him for that.
But Benavides is a HORRIBLE public speaker. And he has an awful record as a Councilman. Good grief I cannot believe anyone thinks he would make a good Supervisor. This just goes to show you how very desperate the Democrats are. They know that Supervisor Nguyen is headed for another victory in June.
Don’t rule out Clownia yet. REmember, if she runs for Supervisor and doen’t make a run-off or God forbid actually win, she can still run for Council for a third time. Measure D was all about the Clown. You’ll know the truth on filing day.
Someone’s talking to someone…and your always reliable “pajaritos” told you about it?
The first thing that came to mind when I read this was “Bwahahahahahahaha!”
But thanks for the rumor mongering.
If Benavides tosses his hat in the ring, that would make for an interesting contest.
“Apparently Santa Ana Councilwoman Claudia Alvarez is content to run for her Council seat again.”
I thought you said she was going to be a judge. You already give up on that rumor Pedroza?
You are pathetic!
#4. Frank Barbaro was also saying Claudia Alvarez might be getting a judicial appointment. Hmmm. Is Frank Barbaro also pathetic?
Perhaps Mr. Barbaro is hoping that Claudia will be less of an embarrassment for Democrats as a judge than she has a Councilwoman.
Santa Ana deserves Claudia Alvarez.
Will someone puhleeeese buy her a dog? Maybe some unconditional love will soften her a bit.
Come on guys. Give David “Beavis” Benavides a break. Let him run for supervisor and lose. When he loses, he’ll appreciate his seat on city council. He has one thing going for him; he doesn’t need a booster chair.
I agree, this man can NOT speak in public even if his life depended on it.
