Rush Limbaugh, perhaps the most famous conservative talk radio host, recently told his audience that “I can see possibly not supporting a Republican nominee,” according to the L.A. Times. I understand what he means!
I don’t like any of the GOP nominees. The problem with some of them, besides their overall weakness, is that they have surrounded themselves with people of ill-repute. That means we can expect them to appoint these very same people if they become our next U.S. President.
For example, John McCain is the choice of the acolytes of Assemblyman Van Tran – I like to call them the “Trannies.” And Mitt Romney is the choice of the Mike Schroeder machine, which is based in Orange County. Likewise, Rudy Giuliani is favored by the Curt Pringle machine.
So if Giuliani wins, we will see Pringle hacks like Matt/Jubal Cunningham and Jeff Flint appointed to powerful federal posts. And if Romney wins we will see much of the same, but with the addition of Schroeder and his wife, which is not good. And if McCain wins, then we will see Truong “Tomahawk” Diep, Trung “BK” Nguyen, Tan “I did not write that letter” Nguyen and Van Tran himself appointed to a whole slew of federal positions. Imagine the damage Van Tran could do in the U.S. Department of Justice, especially considering that his own wife was indicted? He would be issuing “get out of jail” cards to all his crooked cabal!
No thanks! At this point, I intend to vote for Barack Obama, if he is the Democratic nominee for President, over any of these Republicans. However, if Hillary Clinton is the nominee, then I will back a third party candidate. I don’t see how anyone with a conscience could support her or any of these ridiculous Republican candidates. Not with what we now know about the lot of them.
I am still hoping that this race gets more divisive and muddled, then maybe Bloomberg will jump into this race and we can have a 3rd Party revolt. I am a lifelong Republican and I don’t want to vote for any of these mainstream Republican candidates. My Primary vote is going to Dr. Ron Paul
So if Giuliani wins, we will see Pringle hacks like Matt/Jubal Cunningham and Jeff Flint appointed to powerful federal posts.
ROTFLMAO!
Art, whatever it is you’re taking, I’ll have to try some.
Matt/Jubal,
Oh you don’t want to take what I am taking. These high blood pressure pills just make you pee a lot…
Congrats by the way on the success of Red County. One of these days I will have to figure out how to make money at this…
But Art you want Barak? The JR senator that has done NOTHING except run for Pres. since he got into office?
His buddies are now forming up too. Let’s see I guess we would see Ted Kennedy retire from the senate and do what? Become Sec. of Transportaion, or would he move over and become Attorney General? I know he would move over and run BATFE.
You would rather throw your vote away on a 3rd party candidate. Remember that Perot’s losers gave us the Billery twice too.
While I agree with you about many local issues, your showing your illogical side on this issue.
Why in heck would anybody who works hard want a Pres. who has basicly said, I will take more of your money so we can fix govt. overspending. Sure if you give a junkie more H they will kick the habit,… after they die from an overdose. Not before then however. But the solution to getting govt overspending isn’t by throwing a liberal tax-spend Dem in as Pres, you give them both the Lagislature and the Executive branches we will be totaly screwed. As well it will only take a little while, they will have filled the Judical branch with young liberals too. That way they can insure that they have the votes there to cement the taking of all the rest of our Rights.
Oh Art, you silly, silly man! Like McCain or Romney have a clue who any OC local GOP-types are!
As for Obama, he makes Clinton look like Reagan!
I hope Obama gets the nomination, as that is the surest, best way for the White House to remain in Republican hands!
Go Obama!
I dont care who the Democratic or Republican or 3rd Party Moonbat candidates may be. Im voting for the democrat and I know I will have to hold my nose because it wont be John Edwards unfortunatley.
This is the worst set of candidates i have ever seen since I was able to vote at the age of 18. And I m talking about both sides of the aisle including 3rd party candidates.
Absolutley not one of these candidates is fit to be President. The only ones fit were Bill Richardson, Joe Biden and Chris Dodd.
What we are left with are the Clay Aitkens of our Presidential Candidates.
There ought to be a law against hippies like this jumping in the race and flooding the field with sound bites without a shred of experience to baCK THEM UP.
Obama, Hillary, Romney, Guliani, et al are nothing but empty suits spouting off nice marketing jingles. And all the moonbat hippies fall in line like they are in a trance. Pie Eyed Pipers the lot of em I say.
Im voting for the Dem candidate and holding my nose while I do it.
Poster 4,
Think about it. We are almost through eight years of Bush. At the beginning Bush and the GOP also owned both houses of the U.S. Congress. And what have we to show for it? The largest federal budget deficit I can remember. A huge trade deficit. A looming recession. A war without end in Iraq.
Do you expect much difference from McCain, Romney, Huckabee or Giuliani? I don’t.
Obama might be an abject failure. But he won’t continue the Bush legacy of stupidity and excess. And if Obama turns out to be an utter wreck of a president, then four years hence we will bid him adieu as we did Carter. And hopefully by then the GOP will have cleaned house and returned to some semblance of limited government. I doubt it though.
The truth is that the GOP and the Democrats are two sides of the same coin. I have completely lost faith in our party system. I think George Washington was right. We made a mistake by going with the party system. It is inherently flawed.
I bet in eight years a majority of voters in this country will decline to be part of any party.
Art, for a newly-registered DTS voter, you talk like you’ve been one of us for a long time. Try since 1984. How about supporting an independent for public office? So much has been said about Obama and JFK hopping from office from the Senate to the WH. JFK’s lack of foreign policy experience, added by having his brother as a close adviser, led to disasters like the Bay of Pigs and our entry into the Vietnam War.
“…We are almost through eight years of Bush…And what have we to show for it? The largest federal budget deficit…A huge trade deficit. A looming recession. A war without end in Iraq.”
And Art,
Don’t forget the failure of the Bush administration to recognize we have an endangered planet.
This administration has been a horrific train wreck, all right.
My vote will go to the candidate who has ties to someone who has pulled us out of a mess like this before.
The next president should overtax all that isn’t clean for the environment. And the emergence of “greening” may help create jobs that will energize our economy.
Quang,
It doesn’t matter how long you have been a DTS voter. That is a total non-sequitur.
As for JFK’s record, the fact is that George Bush’s record has been even worse. I think folks are looking to punish the GOP – and they want to go in a different direction.
BTW, Bill Clinton was Obama’s age when he became our President. I am no fan of him, but at least he didn’t BK our country and get us into a quagmire in the Middle East.
If Bloomberg enters the race, I may support him. I don’t see any other third party candidates right now who are worthy of support.
